This is a good choice of hotel for people wanting to be central, and being prepared to walk to the main sites rather than be on the main transport routes. Head in one direction and you can be at the Vatican in 30 minutes, and in the other to be at the Colosseum and Forum in 10 minutes.

The staff are very pleasant and helpfu. My criticisms would be that the breakfast choice is limited and can get boring if you are there for more than a couple of nights. The room had two single beds despite asking for a double when booking. The room had very little natural light.

Highlights are the location, the beautiful bathroom, and the helpful staff.

We spent 1 night at Artorius of 3 weeks away in Italy, all of our hotels were chosen from tripadvisor.
We wished we had stayed longer here. In an old cobblestone section of Rome, walking distance from the train station and metro, we adored this hotel. Set off a narrow street that doesn’t seem like much from the outside, the room was immaculate, and the people, service & breakfast were awesome.

We found out during our trip that this was a very trendy. Absolutely spotless room and building. We were traveling for business as well as an extended stay to enjoy the city and were given a room with a terrace (too large to be considered a balcony). The staff was extemely attentive, often running after us to make sure that we were equiped with unbrellas... , and biding us a good day. Thanks Anna, Luca, Maurizio Alessandro, and mama and papa. So polite and great attitudes throughout are stay. We were even given Anna's calling card when she was made aware that we had phone troubles. Coffee came to our room covered, hot, and whenever we requested. I don't think they even added them up on checkout...they sensed the caffine addiction and were willing to supply us. Location... well! can it get any better? Colosium and shops, Via Nationale close by, Best ice cream and " il gelatone' one street over. Grocery shopping across the lane / street, and decent eateries scattered within walking distance.

The hotel is located in a great area- in close proximity to much of historic Rome. Most rooms are well maintained and fairly modern; the triple we stayed in even had an outdoor patio. However we had some issues with the hotel. The first was that the beds were very low-quality and uncomfortable. Everyone in our group woke up with a stiff back in the morning. Further, the hotel staff reccomended us a Cristiana Roma tour that was not very good at all, as well as a restaurant right across the street that was mediocre at best. Overall this is not a bad hotel to stay at, but make sure you are aware of the uncomfortable beds and don't take the staff suggestions too seriously.
