The staff at Hotel Artorius are the greatest. They are glad to assist you with anything that a weary traveler needs. They set up a tour for us, gave a advice on restaurants and provided help in many ways. The breakfast is good and is served in a room with a lot on ambience. This is a good place to have a glass of wine later in the day. The location is excellent for the major points of interest in Rome.

We loved this hotel! We stayed in Rome for three nights in Sept. 2008 and we were not disappointed with Hotel Artorius.

We loved the staff, the breakfast in the morning was great, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. The staff helped us with directions and other general information. The location was good as far as walking to almost everywhere but it wasn't the best neighborhood.

Overall we loved staying here and would highly recommend it!

My teenage daughter and I stayed at Hotel Artorius for two nights this past week. I chose this hotel based on T.A. reviews and we were favorably impressed. The young man who works at the front desk and serves breakfast spoke very good English and helped us with our Metro tickets, as well as a taxi reservation on day of departure. I was impressed with the bathroom (sounds petty, but having spent 6 previous nights in a hotel with a very small bathroom, it was important)--both decor and size. Noise was very low, location was convenient and price was fair. It would have been helpful to have wireless Internet, bu the Ethernet cable that the hotel provided work just fine.I would definitely recommend this hotel.

We have been four times in Rome and slept in three hotels. Hotel Artorius is the smallest of those - but it´s athmosphere was most kind and warmest.

It´s situation is perfect: near by everything but at the same time it´s very peaceful oasis. The street in front of the hotel is very narrow and quiet. You can leave your earplugs home, because there´s just silence in the night. And still you are living in the middle of the noisy Rome, near Colosseum, San Pietro in Vincoli -church and shopping street Via Nazionale. There are plenty of great little tavernas and ristorantes near the hotel, so you don´t have to go far to have a good dinner.

The personnel of the hotel is very, very kind and helpful. Their smiles are natural, not as acted. The rooms, toilets, stairway and the corridor are very clean. The breakfast is very versatile and abundant and you can have capucchino, espresso, tea, hot chocolate or american coffee. What more?

The only thing which wasn´t as good as in "our former hotels", was the view from the room window. But as I said, the street IS very narrow and it´s just impossible to have a great view. But because the street is very narrow, it´s also very, very quiet. And having a good sleep at night is much more important than some great view.
