We stayed for six nights at the Vatican Suites, two kids, 12 and 15, and two adults. We had a two bedroom apartment. It was small, but functional. We were about a 10 minute walk from St. Peter's Square. A bus right into the core of the city was a few steps away and took less than 15 minutes. The subway was also nearby.

The hotel is in a residential neighbourhood, although there are several bed and breakfasts and small hotels nearby.

There is no restaurant in the hotel but then again, there is no shortage of food in Italy.

There is a laundry facility which was handy.

I would recommend this for families with kids who need space. Getting this much space in a regular hotel would be 2-3 times the price. We also saved in being able to buy some of our meals to eat in.

PROS: high quality building, great price for a very nicely furnished two bedroom apartment

CONS: not much to see or do in the neighbourhood except visit the Vatican, not very convenient to the Metro, limited housekeeping and front desk services, no air conditioning

If you are a tourist primarily going to the Vatican, or in Rome on an extended business trip, this could be an excellent choice for you. If you are a tourist going to a variety of sights around the city, then you will probably end up taking alot of taxis or long walks.

If you are going in the summer, probably better to find a place with air conditioning.

we are sorry for your unhappy stay in the Residence but let me explain you something. I can understand your disappoint but don't forget that we are a residence not an hotel.
We are here to give you all the assistance you need, we change you room, we have supported you in all case. When the housekeeping didn't make you room that's was because you were inside for all the morning and she couldn't wait for you. Our luxury is the space and the quite like Residence, the sensation to live in Rome in one of the most famous zone in the world. Here we are all professionists of the ospitality dear guest that want improve with you, with your suggestions and reviews, but we don't accept critics like Hotel. My suggestion is to invite you again here and show you our care for your satisfaction.
