My friends and I stayed at Vatican Suites for two weeks and we can't recommend this hotel to others after our experience. When we first got to the hotel one of our rooms were smaller then the one we had ordered, although there was no problem to change rooms when we complained about this.
In the new rooms we saw that two chairs was broken, there was a splinter in the table, the pipes were leaking while we were using the bathtub and so on. Since the hotel is very cheap we didn't expect everything to be perfect and therefore we never complained about this. One day we accidentally broke a drinking glass and went over to the reception to tell them about this. The receptionist came in to our room to have a look and walked right over to the table with the splinter. He claimed that we had broken the table, but how come he apparently already knew about the splinter if we just had caused it?
Long story short, we where forced to pay 75 euro (it should have been 150 euro but we refused to pay that amount) for a table that was already broken when we got to the hotel.
My tip for everyone who decides to stay at this hotel anyway is to take dated pictures with a digital camera or to tell the staff immediately on arrival about all the things that are broken when you get there. Even though 75 euro isn't that much money it's not very fun to be falsely accused of something like this.
