Gulliver's Lodge was a bit hard to find, initially, but once found it was an island of solace in frenzied Rome.
Be sure that, if you take the Leonardo Express from the FCO airport to Roma Termini, you exit the terminal through the Gates 1-24 area where all the shopping and ticket machines are. We exited at the first exit near gates 25-29, and immediately were lost. After leaving the express train, you have to follow the tracks down a long walkway to the other end of the station. Once there, finding Via Cavour is an easy task (right at the end of the Termini station). Walking after dark with luggage was a bit intimidating at first, but we saw people doing this the entire time we were in Rome. You can also take the metro train from Termini to Via Cavour station, which makes the walk a little shorter.
The room was a bit small, or rather "European", in size. But, after a good night's sleep, we found it perfectly-sized. It held all our luggage and was easy to get into and out of. The shower was a bit cramped for me (6 feet tall), but it was warm and worked well. Everything was immaculately clean, and breakfast was awesome each morning. There was more food and drink than we could eat; and, Sara even prepared us breakfast for the morning we had to leave early for our flight home. Their private airport shuttle service is well worth your time, especially if you have an early flight out. It will run you about 45-50 Euro, depending on your confirmed shuttle arrival time.
The best part of the entire stay was our hostess Sara, though. She was so thoughtful and helpful during our trip. We were greeted with a smiling face, even when we arrived late the first night (we got lost, see above about Termini station). She allowed us to go over all the paperwork and passport requirements the next day, when we were rested. She greeted us with a bottle of champagne and chocolates the next night, and she took the time to help us plan our 2 days in Rome to see the most we possibly could. Staying here was worth every penny for Sara's helpful and gracious attitude.
We would definitely recommend Gulliver's Lodge while in Rome. And, make sure you try the gelato shop just outside the front door -- it was better than most of the others in the guide books and very convenient.
