“Can't figure out a better location”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 18, 2011

Look at the map, plug the main spotsof the city then figure out that Trastevere is indeed such a lively place to enjoy in the evening (the tips for restaurants from Fabrizio are spot on). There is just everything you need and it looks informal. Very clean, warm when we were there and winter was still around. The cherry on the cake was actually Fabrizio offering me, when I arrived there, to drive my car to a parking place after quite a few hours driving from North and that famous amazing experience to drive in Rome (even with a GPS, getting to the hotel is an adventure on its own : believe what you read in the books : stay calm :-) ). Of course, these days, they are refitting the street and the noise from 6 a.m. is a catastrophy :-). But the hotel can't hardly do anything about it and, actually, ... don't you expect Rome to be a bit funky. I'm sure though that, under nomal circumstances, this is a quiet place. I'll get back there for SURE !

We really enjoyed our stay at whr trastevere! The room was beautiful and warm (February), the bath was clean, we were welcomed with wine, juice and chocolade, the internet acess was perfect and the common area with free coffee and tea was very nice. Even if we arrived very late we were welcomed in a friendly way (after beeing brought to the hotel by the shuttle service). On the first morning we got a lot of tips of where to go and where to eat, and every request during our stay was attended to immedeately. It was very quiet and we slept very well in the luxuary beds. The location was more than perfect; in the homely Trastevere and with the city center very close by. The first days we just walked around; as the feet begun to hurt we went by tram and bus - both just around the corner. The breakfast in the nearby café was nice; the fridge in the room and the kitchen in the common area gives a good oppurtunity to make your own breakfast if you would not be satisfied with coffee/tea, fresh juice and a croissant (for us it was a good an italian style way of starting the days!). We would have been happy to stay longer than 5 days, just to eat at all the nice and genuin restaurants recommended by the friendly staff!

I spent two nights here and enjoyed it thoroughly.

The staff was extraordinarily kind and helpful. Their recommendations of what to do in Rome and how to get there were great and accurate.

The room was clean and bright with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was a little tight, though. There is a nice lobby area.

Trastevere is Rome's best neighborhood for going out. The Hotel is located near transportation but is located on a quiet street in a more relaxed part of the area. As such, I experienced minimal noise from the street.

WRH Trastevere is a lovely hotel - the team who manage it could not be more helpful, the room was fantastic and we loved the location at the heart of bustling Trastevere. There are some great authentic Roman restaurants nearby and great nightlife too. I would highly recommend a stay here and we will definitely be back.

What a lovely surprise to walk into our room and see flowers, a 4 poster bed and a bottle of local wine waiting for us. This hotel was excellent. The room was great (if the bed wasn't a little unsupportive and bendy in the middle) complete with free wifi and laptop in the room. Nicely furnished and with a high pressured shower, our stay was delightful. A big thank you to Maria and the team who offered excellent advice on places to eat in the area, places to go and how much time to allow to see everything. That made the world of difference. We didn't experience any issues with noise from other rooms as others have mentioned in their review, but we were there in the off season. Included breakfast was at a friendly local place across the road. Would highly recommend!

The location of the hotel and the staff are fantastic. Staff are friendly and helpful, especially with booking dinners and advising on sights. The free laptop in each room with unrestricted intenet access was phenomenal. The major drawback is that the hotel is small and the rooms are located immediately off the reception/lounge area, so it can be noisy. The bathrooms also are noisy. At times we heard people peeing in the other rooms! Overall, we recommend the hotel, but take earplugs.

This place was a great place to stay because of its location, great attention from staff and owner, very cozy, comfortable, inexpensive and beautiful.
The only bad thing that happened to us was that the owner recommended a hotel across the street "Relais Trastevere" that was not good. .
