Look at the map, plug the main spotsof the city then figure out that Trastevere is indeed such a lively place to enjoy in the evening (the tips for restaurants from Fabrizio are spot on). There is just everything you need and it looks informal. Very clean, warm when we were there and winter was still around. The cherry on the cake was actually Fabrizio offering me, when I arrived there, to drive my car to a parking place after quite a few hours driving from North and that famous amazing experience to drive in Rome (even with a GPS, getting to the hotel is an adventure on its own : believe what you read in the books : stay calm :-) ). Of course, these days, they are refitting the street and the noise from 6 a.m. is a catastrophy :-). But the hotel can't hardly do anything about it and, actually, ... don't you expect Rome to be a bit funky. I'm sure though that, under nomal circumstances, this is a quiet place. I'll get back there for SURE !
