“We LOVED Relais Dei Papi”

My sister and I stayed three nights at Relais dei Papi. We just loved it. It was well situated near the Vatican/St Peter's between two Metro stations. The staff was so friendly and helpful and the room was comfortable and meticulously clean. Even the glass chandelier pieces had not a single speck of dust on them. Breakfast was great each day (typical Italian pastries and breads), but the seating space is limited. We were always first to breakfast, so we had no problem, but I think larger groups had to judge their timing. We booked through Orbitz, so got a very good deal, and I will look for Relais dei Papi again if I am ever fortunate enough to return to Rome. I highly recommend it for those who appreciate a small, boutique style hotel that is well run, and well staffed.

This hotel was wonderful! The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The room we stayed in was a triple and had enough room for 3 of us and our luggage. The shower was very small, but nonetheless, it was a good shower. It was within walking distance of the Vatican. The breakfast consisted of breads, coffee, sweet rolls & juice, but that was all we needed to start our day. I highly recommend this hotel, as our experience was fantastic. I will stay here again!

the hotel location is great because it is next to vatican and far from bad neibourhoods like termini...also at 300 metres there are bus stop and metro.
also if you like walking its like 15 minutes walking to navona campo di fiori etc
Nico and his staff are wonderful and really helpful
the hotel is very clean and rooms are really large for a european hotel
the best experience i have ever had in europe ihotels s surely in relais dei papi!!!
we really felt like home when staying there (so safe and so quiet.

Just returned from Rome and the hotel left me with a nice warm feeling. More of a B&B, rooms and bath are very small, but they're decorated very nicely with quality materials and very clean. Everything looks almost new and staff is very friendly. Breakfast in the room included in the price is a nice bonus. The menu lacking a little in fresh products, but ok. Cosy and warm, I would definitely recommend it to my friends, but not to the posh ones with really high expectations.

“Lower than a luxury B&B”

The location looked so-so with small elevator and the breakfast was horrible (not fresh pastries but industrial).
For a "luxury bed and breakfast" it was a scandal !

If you want a luxury bed and breakfast, skip !
