This was our first trip to Rome and we wanted a hotel by Termini to make transport from the airport and then to the port for our transatlantic cruise workable by train - and it was. Four nights was not enough to explore this fantastic city, but we sure made the most of every second! Walked and walked some more.....check out tours given by Through Eternity and Eden Walks - 2 great companies that we used for excellent guided tours. Rest of time we explored beautiful Rome on our own by public transportation and, of course, walking - but did leave enough time to eat some fantastic meals and drink lots of red wine!
Cannot say enough positive things about the hotel's staff - every question I asked, and there were a lot of them!, was answered with a lot of additional information besides. We found the breakfast most adequate, and the location safe. After a late dinner at a local restaurant one evening we actually walked around the surrounding area until well past midnight.
Went to the Trevi fountain a couple of times but forgot to toss a coin in ... however, will return!
