We stayed in the Yes Hotel for four nights in our first trip to Rome. We picked this hotel due to its consistently high rating on Tripadvisor and in general we were not disappointed. The hotel is only a few minutes walk from Termini station and very easy to find (I had located it using Google Streeview in advance). The reception staff were very friendly and helpful and spoke good English.
The room was small, but adequate. Bed was large and comfortable. There was a new flat screen TV including some English language news channels (BBC News 24 and CNN). There was a fridge, which was useful for cooling bottles of water (the temperature was 32 degrees celcius outside). The room included a modern quiet air conditiion unit that was so efficient that I got quite cold on the first night and had to swtich it off!
Breakfast was adequate. Consisting of croissants (iced!), bread/toast, cold meats, cheeses, cerials, fresh fruit and yogurt. The coffee was undrinkable, but tea was OK.
Being close to Termini station, access to all the main sites was easy. We purchased a three day "Roma pass", which includes unrestricted travel on the metro and buses and free admission to two state-run museums or other attraction (such as the Collesium). As the hotel has no resturant it is necessary to eat out, but there are numerous good resturants. I would recommend the La Famiglia on the Via Gaeta, which is only a few minutes walk (we went here twice).
