“YES HOTEL ROME”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed March 15, 2013

The Yes Hotel on Via Magenta is near the main Railway Station an easy walk away, so its great for getting to and from the airport. We stayed there for 4 nights recently and both of us were really impressed. Its a budget hotel and been refurbished. The rooms were excellent, clean and well furnished, and the breakfasts were possibly the best Id ever had in a hotel of that standard. The staff, who all spoke really good English, were so helpful and friendly, especially when I had lost my bag with money, passport, ect in it, they couldnt do enough, and finally located it for me. The area has a good range of fabulous restaraunts[ recomended by the Yes] They also give you a money off voucher. For a short stay in Rome I would recomend the Yes and would not hesitate to stay there again.

We arrived Yes hotel early in the morning (around 7 a.m.) and would like to stay for 3 nights on Feb 18-20, 2013. The reception staff is very helpful and kind. Without being asked, he offered us to use the room which has been ready and offer us breakfast (no additional charge), provide us map and informed detail explanation on main destination worth to visit. Location is convenient although the hotel sign is too small to see it. Room & breakfast is as my expectation. I will recommend this hotel to all friends who will visit Rome, arriving by train.

Yes Hotel was a great place to stay on our stay in Rome. It was reasonably priced, the hotel was pretty nice, and had a free breakfast that was pretty good. Our trip was a while ago so I forget all the details, but the location stands out in my mind as best thing about Yes Hotel. The reason for that is that Yes Hotel is very close (2 mins walk?) to the main train station, Termini. Rome, unlike other large cities, does not have an extensive underground system. There are two lines that intersect at Termini. We used buses quite a bit which are harder to use than subways, but when it came time to go back to the hotel, all we had to do was take any bus that went to any subway station and that would always connect to Termini. I highly recommend Yes Hotel.

We were made to feel welcome as soon as we arrived. The helpful and friendly desk staff gave us a map and marked all of the main attractions and transport routes. The hotel is one street away from the main bus and rail station, so literally all routes in the city lead back to the hotel. The breakfast was one of the best I've eaten in this type of hotel with a good selection of bacon, egg, cold meat and cheeses. The family room was small but clean, warm and comfortable. I would return to this hotel if I were to visit Rome again. Thanks to the staff of the Yes Hotel for an enjoyable stay.

The yes hotel has a great location, about a 2 min walk to the main termini station and you can get metro to all the main attractions from there. Staff were very friendly and helpful with advise about local restaurants. To get to the room itself we had to exit the reception building and go through a door a bit further down the street. Was a bit strange cause it just looked like a random door in the middle of an outside wall. However you needed a key to get through here and it seemed quite secure. The room itself was quite compact, but a good use of the limited space. Not much of a window, the view was of a small courtyard in the middle of 4 overlooking walls, but this wasn't an issue for us. The room was clean with a modern bathroom. Breakfast was included which included scrambled eggs, toast, pastries, cereal. All was very nice, and a good way to begin the day. A nice hotel and good value for money for a great location.

Nice friendly staff. Mix of Asian and European travelers. Rooms are small but clean and adequate. There is a window but no view. Yes hotel occupies the first 3 floors of the building only. Breakfast limited but sufficient. Free internet at lobby. Neighborhood seemed relatively save. Didn't get mugged or harassed through my 4 nights. Room and toilet looks new and modern. Supermarket and train station a 5 minutes walk away.

I booked this hotel for my wife and me arriving on February 18 and leaving on February 28, based on previous posts I read. Folks, we were not disappointed. What a great choice we made. Located on Via Magenta, the hotel is no more than 2 blocks from the Main Termini (train station) which gives you access to all of Rome via the Metro or buses. All of the superlatives have been said about this hotel by previous posters and we can only amplify them. Marcello, Daniel and all the staff were extremely kind and gracious to us.

The room: Very clean and tidy. A king bed with 2 night stands, a table and chair, armoir plus an under-the-counter fridge. What more could you ask for?

Bath: The bath was very modern and clean. The shower was perfect and worked great. A nice touch was the towel warmer which kept the bath warm and cozy. The bath towels were soft and fluffy. American readers....bring your own washcloth.

Breakfast: The hotel provides a great European style breakfast with an extra twist, scrambled eggs with sausage. We enjoyed the great local breads, butter, jams, fruit, cheese, hard boiled eggs, and sliced meats. Also available was cereal, yogurt, juice, sweet rolls and thin pasteries. If you went hungry at breakfast, it was your own fault. The coffee / cappuccino machine was the center of attraction. I suspect that my wife and I drank way too much, but who can resist cappiccino? Oh, the staff always turned the machine on in the evening so that we could have our cappuccino and pasteries we got locally for our before-dinner treat. Yum!!!

Location: As I said earlier, the hotel is no more than 5 minutes away from the Termini. For the price of a Metro or bus ticket, Rome is at your disposal. Straight up Magenta and across the street on Piazza Idipendenza is a big supermarket (Conad) where you can buy anything you may need. Also close by are several Farmacias (drug stores). Two of our favorite eating establishments are steps away from the hotel and I will discuss them in later posts.

Added bonus: Unless you need to wake up earlier than 7 AM, do not set your clock. There is a big, beautiful church just around the corner that announces the beginning of the day at 7 AM with 30-31 big bell rings. What a great way to start your day exploring Rome!

Marcello, you were a wonderful host and you took very good care of us. Daniel, Happy Birthday! To the others, I apoligize that I do not remember your names. I am old and I am allowed to be forgetful.

To all of the great folks we met from Wales who stayed at the hotel to attend the Wales - Italy Rugby match,,Party On!!! My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed your company and visiting with each of you.

There is a phrase that goes..."You get what you pay for." In the case of the Yes Hotel, you definitely get more than what you pay for. If you want a Doorman, a Bellman, a Valet, and all the fluff, then stay at one of the big hotels and pay $300 - $500 a night or more. However, if you are looking for real value and a great place to stay that is convenient to everywhere - - - the Yes Hotel in Rome is for you. If accomodations are available when we return, this is where we will stay for future visits.

This is our 9th 2-week trip back to Italy in 7 years so we do have some experience(s) in good and mediocre places to stay. The Yes Hotel is at the top of our list for great places to stay.

Thanks for everything guys!!!
