Due to a train strike we had to find another night in Rome. This place was very nice, and on a quiet street. The staff was friendly and helpful and gave us a great rate. We had a 2 bedroom apt with a kitchenette. Large shower. Lots of amenities in the bathroom. Metro is very close and the vatican museum entrance. Nice big grocery store nearby too. Rate was 130 euros.

  • Liked — Rooftop patio and big bathroom
  • Disliked — Front desk was too dark and mirrored.

The only thing positive about Residence Candia is its locations. I found the staff of this hotel really unhelpful and quite rude. The rooms were cleaned as and when without any set routine.
The interior of the hotel is terrible.

I would definately not stay here again. Also I found that the price of the rooms are way too expensive for what you get.

We loved our stay at the Residence Candia. It's very close to two Metro stops (Cipro and Ottaviano) and you can see the Vatican walls from just outside the hotel. The room we had was small, but very clean and well maintained. It even had a little kitchenette, although we didn't use it. The showers were also a little tight but plenty of warm water and very clean. But the service was what sets this hotel apart. The front desk was very hospitable and knowledgable. We'd definitely recommend it again. Wide range of guests...young and older. Many folks we ran into were from the US.

Our reservation got cancelled at another hotel, so we came to the Residence Candia as walk-ins, and they had availability. Lucky for us!

We had a wonderful stay at the Residence Candia . We were five, three teenagers and parents. We had a penthouse apartment with two bedrooms, living room , kitchen and a patio. The management led by "Johnny" or Giovanni could not have been warmer and more helpful. Lots of warm water, clean, TV, wifi connection. Very close to the Vatican. These people will treat you very well. They know the vicinity extremely well for cafes, restaurants, sites and taxis. Great place I highly recommend it.

I stayed in two rooms, one when I arrived in Rome the other when I left after traveling. Very clean, very friendly staff. Walking distance to the metro, and the vatican, good places to eat and shop in the area. Located in a nice neighborhood.
