I stayed in Sam's with a friend, who got there 3 days before I did. we had a triple room, one double and 1 single bed. the room, albeit basic and no frills, was very clean, and there was enough space for the two of us. the space between the beds was big enough to put our bags and still walk freely in the room. the price we paid included a great coffee and a pastry from a nearby snack-bar. the room had double glazing so there was no noise. also, it's a 1 minute walk to the Manzoni Metro St. - very central location, 10min. walk to colosseum. in the morning, the maid put all our stuff and clothes in order, in our bags, which was very nice to see. the shower and toilet was in a small room next to us, with a personal key only for our room to use. there was a wi-fi connection in the corridor. whatever we needed, we called their number, and a nice guy called Roni came to assist us. the other lady was very friendly and helpful too. all in all, great location, great value, clean and friendly.

I spent 3 nights in Rome, with my mother. We reserved the room for an extremely cheap rate, and were surprised by the hospitality and quality of the room! It is very clean and exactly as advertised on the website. We sometimes had some trouble opening the outside gate, but it wasn't a big problem. The lady that worked there at the time was very nice and eager to help and to answer all our questions. They served breakfast to our room, which was great! It was very simple but enough for a good start. It's conveniently located, just ask for a map and they are more than welcome to help you out. Make sure to get some coffee at one of the surrounding shops, the employees are very nice and the coffee is amazing!

Simple guesthouse, but highly recommended.

I will definitely recommend this place to stay (my dad, brother and I stayed for 4 nights). Marco was excellent to deal with, is very friendly and readily answered any questions we had. The room and bathroom we had (Sam 4) was modern and clean and nice to come back to after a whole day touring in Rome (or elsewhere). The place is secure and close to transport (metro and buses). The breakfast, though simple, was filling enough for a good start to the day: delivered to your door. I would also recommend their transfer service especially if you're flying there/back at odd times as you travel in style and comfort instead of having the risk of getting ripped off by Rome taxi drivers when the public transport have stopped. Everything is stated on their website with no hidden criteria and when we had questions, they were readily replied to. Definitely worth a visit and excellent value.
