We are a family of 5 and just returned from a fabulous vacation in Rome. We stayed at the Relais Pierret for 6 nights and an additional 2 nights on our return back from Florence before returning to the States. Although the Releis Pierret was not our first choice, we were very pleased with our stay. We arrived late after 7pm and our rooms were ready as they were expecting us. Same with our return stay. This is not a complete full service property with a restaurant, room service, fitness center and pool etc… however the staff went above and beyond and offered suggestions and worked hard to accommodate our needs. Alex was truly a “rock star”. He was quite often at the desk during our stay and always extended his service with a smile. I have stayed in numerous 3-5 star hotels and rarely encounter the exceptional level of service provided.
The rooms were spacious and clean. Cleanliness and updated furnishings were very important to us in our search for accommodations. We had 3 adults in a triple room and it was large enough for an extra bed and luggage space. The bed was comfortable. The furnishings were antique Italian /modern. The water pressure in the shower was good. The rooms and amenities were well maintained. The room pictures posted by other guests are true to how the rooms actually appear. The windows do open for fresh air. The elevator was small but this is standard throughout Europe. The building is located near Spanish Steps and the square was very crowded. We could hear some outside noise in our room but was not loud enough to bother us. It was quiet during the evening and we slept well. The air conditioning unit kept our room cool and was quiet.
The Relais Pierret is located right next to the Spanish Steps with easy access to the metro stop Spagna. Thank you to other reviewers that specified the exact building and location. This really helped us in pinpointing the location upon arrival. Also, it was easy walking to many nearby trattorias, cafes and shopping. There is a grocery store located nearby (5 min walk) which was great for picking up water and snacks. We walked everywhere and used the metro to visit sights further away. We have found our home in Rome and will definitely stay here again in the future.
