If it was not for having no A/C on 90 degree days, I would have rated this hotel much higher. We were there in September and it was unusually hot for Rome. We were travelling with friends who also stayed there and had no A/C in their room either. We asked the staff to look into it. They came into both rooms and tried to work the remote which operates the A/C, but to no avail.

If you are staying in Rome during cooler months I would recommend this hotel. The location is excellent. The rooms are spotless, bed is comfortable, and bathrooms are large.

My friends and I stayed at the Relais. It is a beautiful hotel, with lovely people running it. Everyone was so friendly (spoke perfect English - if needed) and made my friends and I feel very comfortable. The location is great, and their restaurant recommendation was very good too. The restaurant was located in a quiet, charming street, not far from the hotel. I can't say enough about the hotel, and will keep it in mind any time I stay in Rome for the future.

We recently spent 4 nights here at the start of our honeymoon. The location of this clean, well-maintained hotel was very central and convenient. While the hotel doesn't serve breakfast, the kitchenette in our room allowed us to make breakfast ourselves. I loved walking out of the main doors to find crowds of people sitting on the Spanish Steps.

The room was large and the bed was extremely comfortable. I slept over 10 hours each night which is very rare for me!

We stayed here for four days in August 2008. The position couldn't be better for the sights; right on the Piazza di Spagna at the bottom of the Spanish Steps though not particularly noisy inside. This is not a full-service hotel but appartments with daily service set in a pleasant, nicely decorated building with exceptionally helpful reception staff. The room was very comfortable, large bed, air conditioning, fridge and complimentary drinks/nibbles and a good bathroom. There's a complimentary internet terminal in the hall and free wireless/cable internet in the rooms.

The staff couldn't have been more helpful, explaining the routine, suggesting restaurants and generally helping out.

Would go back tomorrow and highly recommend this
