We had a wonderful stay here. It is a great location, right next to the Spanish Steps and the metro. Alex was so helpful. The accommodations were wonderful. We will definitely recommend this place to others!

This hotel is located one building to the left of the Spanish Steps just over a Furla purse store. The location is ideal. The rooms are small, but feel more spacious because the ceilings are sky high. The bathroom is nicely done and there is plenty of airconditioning. The hotel has charm, fabulous staff who are happy to provide suggestions, arrange tours and answer all your questions. The hotel staff arranged guided tours of the Vatican and the Colleseum for us and the addtional cost was well worth it. Boris Regner was our guide and he was terrific (incredibly knowledgeable, speaks fluent English and a pleasure to spend time with). With the guide (a cost of 170 euros for three hours) we gained easy access to the venues (no waiting in line) and learned as much or as little as we wanted.

The hotel staff has a little handbook of suggested restaurants to visit. Their breakfast suggestions are not good. As the saying goes, when in Rome... eat a pastry and have at cappucino at a neighbourhood coffee place. American Breakfasts are terrible and we quickly learned not worth the money. We ate at a place called Veccia Roma for dinner. It was delicious. There are lots of little places not far from the hotel that are yummy. Go for dinner around 8:30 p.m. If you see Italians eating there that's a good sign.

The hotel is a Relais property and is known as Internationale Domus. I'm used to 5 star properties and while this didn't have all the modern touches of the Savoy in Florence, it was exactly what I wanted. Tons of charm, very clean and the BEST LOCATION in Rome. I would definitely stay there again.

I booked a superior room at the Relais Pierret for 1 night to visit Rome with my 5 year old daughter this July.

On arrival, we were slightly disappointed to find we'd been 'upgraded' to a suite in the Internazionale Domus, which is located above the Relais Pierret in the same building. I felt the standard of furnishings wasn't as good as that in the Relais Pierret, especially in the common parts. However, I have to admit that this was more than made up for by the amazing view from our window. The Spanish Steps were beautiful when empty in the morning - I've never seen them like that before. I had been concerned about soundproofing on the Steps' side of the building, as I was travelling with a young child, but noise from outside was not a concern at all - the double glazing was very effective.

The only slight problem was noise from other guests returning to their apartments in the evenings - the management really need to encourage people to be considerate when they are in the shared areas of the property, as the wooden floors and high ceilings ensure that other guests will be disturbed by noise. Otherwise, I found reception staff incredibly helpful and the car they organised for me on the final day was fabulous - really a 5 star way to see Rome!

My husbant and I selected this hotel after reading reviews on Tripadvisor and we were not disappointed!
Immediatelly after our booking via internet, I received an email from the hotel asking us if we would like to be picked up from the airport...always answer yes to this (I will explain later)!!!!!
Upon our arrival at the hotel the consierge was very kind and helpfull providing us with a map and a list of the best places to eat around Rome.
The hotel is in the heart of Rome, right next to the Spanish Steps, however the rooms are very quiet. The bed was enormous, the pillows soft and fluffy and the bed linen clean and of very good quality. The bathroom was big and spotless, there was always hot water and clean towels. Althoug the hotel does not provide breakfast there are many places around piazza di Spagna where you can eat something, the hotel recomends some of them.
We stayed at the hotel just for one night, however the day of our departure the kept our luggage and allowed us to freshen up in the bathroom before our departure. Excactly at the time agreed our driver was at the hotel to pick us up.
I would recommend to anyone staying in the center of Rome to arrange with the hotel to be picked up from the airport. We decided to take the train not because of the cost but because we thought it would be faster. It was a huge mistake!!! We ended up standing the whole trip fro the airport to termini station packed with other standing travellers some of them not so fond of cleanliness! At the station we got a taxi and from the 1st minute we understood that the Taxi driver would rip us off. For a 10 min drive he demanded 25 Euros and when we gave him a 20 and a 5 euro bills he switched them for two 5 euro bills and pretended that we owe him more!!!!! Old trick !!!
Trust the hotel stuff when they recommend Osteria de la Marguta...AMAZING!!! Try the tortelini with tartufo!
