Excellent hotel for the price! Huge spacious room, nice breakfast. Very comfortable. Only downside is the location. It's only 10km from the city center and 4km from Ciampino Airport, but the public transport is pretty unreliable, especially at night.

Hotel shuttle bus is a great idea, but not as convenient as you might think:
To/from Ciampino Airport only 2 trips a day at 1100 and 1730
To/from Cinecitta Metro station every 1-2 hours from 8.20 until 1800
To/from Piazza Venezia in the city - 2 buses at night

Getting to the hotel from Ciampino
Taxi - 30 Euros, only 5 minutes (try bargaining - I got it down to 20)
Shuttle buses to Termini station 6 Euros per person (SIT shuttle), then take Metro Line A to Cinecitta, then bus 654 getting off at Via Siderno (all for 1 Euro) - 1.5 hours

To/from the city centre, take the hotel shuttle to Cinecitta metro then take the metro into the city. Alternatively, take bus 654 to/from Cinecitta metro or 664/663 to/from Arco di Travertina metro. The bus stop is only about 100m from the hotel. At night, the buses are VERY INFREQUENT, coming only every 30-60 minutes!

  • Liked — Great price for the facilities and standard!
  • Disliked — Poor location in relation to the local attractions. Public transport is not great, especially at night.

One of the best hotels we stayed in on our recent business trip in Europe. It's about 15 mins from the city centre by cab (30 Euro) and about 15 mins from Ciampino airport. It's NOT close to Fiumicino.

The hotel seems pretty new, and the cab driver wasn't too sure where it was, but the sat nav got us there. Reception is huge, and there seemed to be a lot of people milling around. Only one guy on reception trying to do everything, so it all took a bit of time to check in, book cabs, alarms etc. But he was very polite, if a bit distracted by the endless queries from the enormous Korean tour groups who kept fussing about their rooms.

Room was pretty big, felt quite plush. Very clean. Nice new bathroom too. Only problem was that it wounded like there was a stream running overhead - something to do with the aircon, and I couldn't make it stop. Out with the ear plugs again. No noise from the corridors though, or from outside.

There was wireless internet and also a network connection cable, but it was an extra cost (12 Euros for 12 hours) which was added onto the bill.

Breakfast was extra too, but since we had an early start, we didn't try it.

Overall, it was quite a nice hotel, and I'd have been happy to stay there a bit longer. But only for business, it's too far out from the centre to be a tourist hotel.

  • Liked — Newness, it actually felt plush, like a 4-star hotel should.
  • Disliked — Aircon noise and lack of reception staff.

Stayed for 4 days in September. Agree with other reviewers who found the out of town location easily compensated for by the efficient hotel minibus transport to and from the metro during the day and from the centre of Rome during the evening.

Quality of rooms, breakfast and value for money excellent.

Pool v cold but pool area fine for a couple of hours relaxing between a busy day in Rome and evening.

Highly recommended for those who prefer a more modern hotel environment.
