As of this date i'm still here at the hotel.

I'll start with the GOOD: The hotel is SPOTLESS! For all you germ-a-phobes, you will love this one.

The neutral: The staff is gracious, but rather cold-weather we are speaking italian OR english.

The Bad: Location, location location

The UGLY: Shuttle service (though i'm grateful) has huge gaps in it. For example in order to leave (TAXIS are 20 Euro from here to the city-EACH WAY), I have to wait THREE hours for the next shuttle to take me to the metro, then take the metro for 20 minutes to get to the city. There's so much to see in Rome, I don't want to miss a minute.

My advice? If you want to see the sights (who doesn't) consider getting a hotel that may not be as new, but is closer to the city. Time is money, don't waste your time.

The hotel is situated in a residential suburb of Rome, strange place really. The hotel shuttle bus picks up from Ciampino airport and is, I think, timed to meet ryanair flights. The shuttle bus is great, it drops you off at the metro and picks up in central Rome at 21:40 get there 10 mins before pick up.
The hotel is very clean and serves a purpose, the staff are however, a little tense and seem unsure how to be friendly and relaxed. Breakfast is good with lots to choose from, however beware of the bar and the food. in out opinion it is way ,way overpriced ; 6 euro for a small bottle of beer. Stock up from the shop 50 yards down the road to the left as you leave the front door.
The pool was good and we always got sunbeds.
Stay again? yes certainly + buy a Roma pass, available from the main train station in Rome next to platform 23 or 24.

I choose this hotel as I really wanted a hotel with a pool not too far from Rome City centre. Although the website does not show the pool area, it is adequate with sun beds and the hotel provides towels from 10am. On arrival from Ciampino airport, I was surprised that although the hotel is ten minutes from the airport the taxi cost was 30 Euros as this is a minimum fare from the airport! The hotel is very modern, a typical business/ conference hotel. The restaurant and bar area was small but nice. Food good but very expensive for what you got. A can of coke cost 4 Euros! There is a local small grocery shop about a five minute walk from the hotel where you can get drinks though. Breakfast was basic but nice, quite a limited buffet selection but adequate. There are no other restaurants within walking distance to the hotel as it is located in a residential area. The rooms were very spacious, clean and comfortable. The staff in the hotel were friendly and helpful. The hotel provides a shuttle service to the nearest station which is then only twenty minutes into the centre of Rome. If you are happy to work around the times of the shuttle service then it works very well. They provide two evening shuttles from the centre of town back to the hotel (9.40pm & 11.40pm) and this only takes about 20 minutes. Overall this was a very nice hotel that catered to the requirements I had for my stay and would definitely go back should my requirements be the same the next time I visit Rome.

The hotel in itself is simple but clean and nice. However, the service is poor.
We had dinner there in the evening and the food was not as nice as all of the other we had in Italy. It was also overpriced.
Our room was ok but the A/C started leaking in the middle of the night and the noise woke us up. Switching it off was not an option because of the heat. You couldn't open the windows. I am really not fussy but it was unbearable. We had to move room at 3am!
In the morning, the breakfast was poor.
On leaving, we had no apology or even a mention of the fact we changed room.

We stayed there only one night on the way out of Rome. It is very handy for Rome Campino airport.

We stayed at this hotel from December 29th 2007 thru Jan 2nd 2008. It is a bit off of the beaten path in the middle of a residential neighborhood, but it is well worth it for the amenities and service. You will be pleasantly surprised as the hotel is very new and clean. We booked a room for $125.00 per night online, but the service was what I have received from higher end hotels.

The rooms have a card system which activates the lighting and is green friendly. Everything is new and spacious, our first reserved room had a malfunction problem with the card system and within 10 minutes we were in a new room with our baggage transferred for us. So you have to say this is a rarity. There is internet TV, refrigerator and an excellent sized restroom.

It was quiet and well kept. The beds are much nicer than expected. In comparison to many of the hotels you find in Europe this room was spacious. The rooms have large balcony style windows, but unfortunately you cannot exit out to the outside. This wasn't a problem and we found the suburban architecture near the hotel interesting. It is a safe neighborhood.

The included breakfast was great and there were plenty of options. For those on a budget you will find it more than sufficient and helpful as it seems many breakfast places do not open early in Rome save for Mc you know whats.

The Chappanelle Hippodrome and Appian way are very close by and many of the main attraction in Rome are 20 mins away. The staff were very gracious with their help in providing directions and have a printable schedule of buses, routes and shuttle times. We called the hotel before we arrived and they gave us bus route numbers and details on arrival from the train station.

The hotel provides a shuttle service that departs in the morning and takes you to the subway. It will also pick up guests there in the evening, but make sure you are on time or you will be stuck taking the Bus in Rome which is not the swiftest of choices. In fact taking the Bus to this hotel is quite a pain, due to the inconsistency of the Roman bus system, but it does show up right at the front of the Hotel so this is good.

*If you are coming from the United States, I think you will enjoy this hotel compared to others in Rome, not only for the price, but it is secluded from the hustle and bustle of downtown Rome. A couple of families from the states were there during our stay. This is helpful as you can swap experiences for navigating the Roman sites.

I would stay here again.

  • Liked — Quality of room and service, greater than many hotels worldwide!
  • Disliked — Bus route system to hotel and the need for a shuttle to subway system
