FLEXIBILITY
We arrived at 9 at Termini and we could check in at 9.30 and even have a shower before going on tour. Victoria provided us with a city plan and basic orientation and gave us an insight in how the city transport works.
When we wanted to leave early to visit the Vatican Museums, it was no problem to serve breakfast at 7 o'clock and we could even take something with us to eat on the go.
On the check-out day, it was no problem to leave our bags in the appartment and return to collect them in the afternoon.

FRIENDLY ATMOSPHERE
Victoria likes to chat (we did this in Spanish, her English isn't very good) so we learned many interesting things at the breakfast table. We felt like being her children (her son is in fact the same age as me) which was very nice in most cases.

LOCATION
5 minutes from the Termini station on foot. This is a great plus! You'll have to take the tube to get to the major sights, but as the B&B is in the very centre of Rome, you get everywhere in a matter of minutes.
People from all around the world live in this part of the city, but we felt safe, even when returning after midnight.

ROOMS
Very nice and comfortable, with free internet access (WiFi or classical LAN - which is faster). Equipped with taste. We would have preferred carpet instead of tiles and we didn't like the fact that our double bed turned out to be two beds put together.

BREAKFAST
OK, but would be terrible if you should stay longer than 3 nights. There was no cheese (only spread cheese), no ham or salami and no fresh bread. There were synthetically tasting muffins, the cheapest toast bread, jam, honey, "yoghurt" and some corn flakes. The juice was terrible. If you like abundant breakfasts with a nice espresso (which you won't get here) - and need that during your Rome stay, choose a different place to stay.

I stayed in this B& B FOR 4 NIGHTS LAST October, the guest house is located in a very bad area of rome, not really close to Termini, about 10 minutes walking I had a back bag and alight handbag only, so I didn't mind walking but if you having more luggage you might consider taking closer place or take a tarnsport, 2 days before I arrive, Victoria send me an email asking what time I'll arrive I replied back that my flight arrives 6,40 am, and by the time I reach her place it should be around 8, 30, she replied back saying ok I'll be waiting, but when I arrived there, she went on rage saying that I came very e4arly and I'm busy nopw preparing breakfast for guests, go out now and come back later, she also said you never stayed in ahotel before chek in time is usually 12pm, how come you are here now, I told her u r nota hotel and you wrote me back that IT'S OK TO COME THAT TIME, SHE DIDN'T REPLY BACK , SO i LEFT MY BAGS AND WENT LOOKING FOR OTHER PLACES, AND AM SAD TO SAY THAT i WAS TIRED AFETR 12 HOURS FLIGHT, i WAS FRUSTRATED FROM THE WAy she recieved me, but At the end UI decided just to stay there,Rooms was clean and Ok, but place is far from any touruist attractions, italians were not as friendly as I thought they would be , so If i visit Rome next time diffenitly am not staying there, will look fora closer area for sure, transport in Rome is very efficient even if you take other area than Termini don't wiorry about the distance

After reading the reviews on trip advisor, we decided we had to give this place a try. I am pleased to report we were not dissappointed! The hostess - Victoria - was nothing but warm and friendly. She assisted in each and every way possible to help make our stay enjoyable. Rooms were cleaned daily to an impeccable standard. Breakfast is basic, but Victoria happily gave directions to a nearby supermarket where I purchased some fresh fruit and wholemeal bread for breakfast. We literally were made to feel at home. Apartments were new and clean. Location is ideal! 5 minute walk from Termini station and buses to all locations. The Colusseum is less than 1km away and nearby attractions are within walking distance.

Seriously, great value for money! You have to stay here! Would recommend this place to friends and family and will definitely stay here again!

I stayed for 4 nights at Principe Nuovo (the new addition to Principe B&B). It is a wonderful place, and it is definitely a good bargain. The owners are fantastic people, very accommodating and hospitable. The rooms are quite spacious for Rome standards (trust me, in Rome it's a big deal to find an affordable hotel with well-equipped and spacious rooms). Breakfast was very nice and quite substantial. Finally, it is a nice location next to Termini. Overall, I totally recommend Principe to anyone.
