I arrived as a back packer expecting a bunk in a six bedded room to use as base for my tour of Rome, When I arrived Fabio the manager greeted me with a glass of iced water booked me in then sat me down with a map of Rome and explained the best way to tour the city in the 3 days I was there, The session was so helpful then I was shown around the hostel.
There is a lovely Garden area at the back of the property where I had breakfast and chilled with other travellers to the early hours exchanging tales and meeting new people. Marios would somtimes sit with us of an evening and was marvelous company with many tales of his experience of life.
The room was clean an comfortable, The bathroom was was of a good standard and was always clean, The kitchen was again clean and was available for sandwiches and microwave cooking,
Italian breakfast was included in the price, Coffee, Orange Juice and a Croissant
I could get use to that and enjoyed it.
The ladies Mirella, Antonella were just as helpful and the local Restaurant I was reccomended was excellent,
Two computers were available for free internet access
There was vending machine for water and other soft drinks just what you need
I was made to feel at home by everyone and felt like a member of the family.
I had a wonderful stay in Rome but Fabio, Antonella, Marios and Mirella made it special
I highly reccomend this hostel.
The accomodation is maybe 7-10 mins walk from San Giovani Metro station.
But you can get an 81 bus to the station at the top of the street.
