We booked a three night stay through the hotel website which had a nice discount, so we ended up paying what I think the appropriate rate for this hotel.
Pros:
great location and great area, one of the best in Rome. Nicely done in a minimal style décor. Good service, room clean, luxurious duvet covers. Staff nice and helpful. Very good breakfast, nicely appointed tables with linen tablecloth and napkins.
Cons:
Everything is small: the reception, the room, the bathroom, the Spa area, not what you would expect from a deluxe five star hotel. Free WiFi in the lobby but on payment in the room.
I've read previous reviewers complaining about noise from road: noise doesn't come form outside but from the inside! Paper thin bathroom walls so you hear everything: water flushing, shower running, people sneezing, quite annoying!
Turn down service, is just a change of towels and every evening a brand new doorknob hanger on bed. I have got a whole collection! No weather forecast, no little chocolate, no bottle of water!
Sad.
Appliances in the bathroom a little 'loose', although it is a new hotel; the feeling is that it was done on a 'save every penny' project.
We went up to the roof terrace to have a view but it was locked up and from all the rubbish strewn around it looked like it is undergoing major repairs work.
No real concierge service: we asked for tickets to some of the exhibitions but they couldn't provide any.
We had dinner in the hotel restaurant on our last night there: a lot of nice choreography but little else to remember.
All in all it was a good stay, provided you get a nice rate, not worth the regular price.
