Yes it's quite difficult to find, but well worth it,comfortable beds, tv, window over looking the courtyard, yes there are lots of doors to go through but at least you feel safe. the rooms were very clean, very firendly and helpful staff . For breakfast you are given a choice of menu's: which is basic ie, cereal with milk, cereal with yogurt, tea no milk but ask for some it's not a problem toast (from a packet) jam, coffee with a crossiant. there are plenty of facilities close by if you want a bigger breakfast. For the price i think it was great value, it's close to the bus and metro station. (don't get a taxi from the airport its expensive cost us £70 on the return journey to the airport we got the shuttle bus from outside the metro £6 per person and only takes 45mins.The metro is only 1 euro for a single trip but also only 4 euros for the whole day also this price inclused use of the buses..The accomodation is about 30mins walk to the colosseum but again the metro is close by. The best places to eat are the ones in the back streets. The resturant next to the front entrance is excellent, it was busy on the 3 nights we were there from 7pm onwards (but you don't have to wait too long for a table). I would recommend a guided tour of the Vatican, Colosseum & Palatine otherwise you don't really know what you are seeing & go with the guides who are outside these places ( they may seem like timeshare people pestering you but they are very knowledable people) the Colosseum tour cost us £20 per person this also included the Palatine takes about 2 hours. The Vatican Museum £40 per person but last 3 hours. when usinga tour guide you queue jump therefore there is not much waiting around it's excellent,

Enjoyed our stay at Delia. Security was great and we appreciated the balcony view from our room. The workmen were noisy for the building refurb across the way but this is a short-term nuisance and only with the windows open. The room was quiet with doors closed and the a/c on. Our hosts were fantastic with Cornelio the owner making us at home and providing us with the free internet we needed (I am also doing internet classes) The breakfast was great and nice hot capuccino each morning and always a smile. Our hosts even provided early check-in which was marvellous and so unusual and very appreciated. Apperitif Bar was also an unexpected extra......Balcony offered sunshine and a very pleasant refuge from the city. We enjoyed it and would recommend it. TV was mainly in Italian but you are not there for TV, right? Thanks...

Its been more than a year since my mother and I stayed at Delia - and it still rates as one of the worst stays I have ever had (and paid for!).
Firstly, access to the hotel is bizarre - you feel as if the booking is a con, and there was nobody there on arrival - not really the best of starts in Rome during the heat of the Summer. Also, we share the bewilderment of fellow guests who were lumbered with an extraordinary number, and variety of keys. It was Fort Knox - and its a bit hard to see why.
The place itself is very clean - that was really the one saving grace. We were moved one day in (into a nicer room, granted) but it felt more like we had been incarcerated in a minimum security prison rather than experiencing the charm of a Roman B&B. The Italian continental breakfast - something we had been looking forward to (and hence the reason we booked a B&B) went from poor to just plain peculiar. The 'pantry' area (with tea and coffee) was constantly locked, and the food was rationed - there is no other word for it. We started with pastries - stale and inedible - and the coffee was cold and tasteless. So we tried the tea and cereal. This again was cold (we think it was microwaved) and the cereal came in a glass. No spoon. No milk. One of the more amusing episodes was seeing a fellow guest sneaking around the foyer with his little glass of cereal, fruitlessly searching for help. We could not assist in his quest for a spoon and some milk.
We slept well despite the air conditioning not working (and being charged for this) and despite the fact after difficult days in the peak of the tourist season in Rome, we would feel depressed returning to Delia after a long, hot day. Oh, the bathrooms also smelt (old pipes I guess).
Why didn't we move may you ask - well, we went to Rome during the peak time, and there literally was no where else to go.
The final morning was taxing - difficult to pay - and they were insisting we make a comment in their guest book - we could win another week's stay! I thought this was a joke.. and resolved to write an entry in trip advisor. It has taken me this long to feel calm enough to do so. As for the complementary comments - I am truly puzzled. Perhaps we were on a version of Italian Candid Camera that week, and were not told it was a gag.

My husband and I have just spent 3 nights at the Delia and were thrilled with the position, the cleanliness, the quietness and mostly the graciousness of our hosts who went out of their way to offer a warm welcome, umbrellas during a thunderstorm and even coffee when we had to hibernate for a few hours because of the storm. We also loved having a key to those wonderful wooden doors on the street that hide Roman life from the world. A delightful experience in a great city.

We debated a long time over what hotel to stay in and picked Hotel Delia because it wasn't too pricey and looked nice. The hotel turned out to be very good value. Our room was lovely, very spacious with a table and chairs, a double bed, plenty of wardrobe room and a good sized bathroom.

They brought us breakfast in bed which was a really nice touch for a romantic getaway. The breakfasts were simple but always lovely. The building is built around a little patio square which was nice as the rooms are not overlooking the road and it is very quiet. There is also a lovely pizzeria just next door if you don't want to travel into Rome every night. Having said that, the walk into the city centre is not far at all and we walked everywhere with ease.

Most importantly, the staff are always happy to help and sorted out any problems we had immediately. As our flight wasnt until the evening they even gave us a room to leave our bags on the day we checked out so we had an extra day to explore Rome.

I would recommend the accomodation and hope to stay there again sometime.
