We were a large group of friends and family traveling together so we occupied 4 rooms on 2 different floors. Once we climbed (or rode elevator) to the reception floor (i think 4th) we were greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady. The lobby was nice with room to sit and watch tv. Then, it went downhill from there. The rooms were not nice. The bathrooms were not maintained well and broken fans were supplied for the lack of air, which kicked up alot of dust in the room. This was evidenced by chronic coughing from most in our party. Sleeping with the windows open was not an option because of the nighttime "noises". I realize that is not the hotel's fault but w/o air conditioning, you are kind of limited on how to make yourself comfortable during the hot months. The bathrooms' toilets flush so loudly that we made the decision not to flush on our early morning departure because they would surely wake the guests in the next room. All 13 people in our party were in agreement that we would look elsewhere next time in Rome.
