Just came back from a 3 night stay at this hotel.If you are looking for
location, then this is the best place to stay.The reception staff were very friendly and helpful.Same cant be said for the breakfast serving lady who was very grumpy but that was just a minor inconvenience.You can walk to all the major tourist attractions from this hotel.The metro is 5 minutes walk away and also plenty of places to eat around the area.If you are looking for a plush hotel then this is not the place to stay.But if you are looking for
fantastic location and a place to rest your head at night,then this is highly recommended.

I've booked this hotel a few days ago (after reading multiple reviews on this site) and stayed there for a night with my family. It is one of the worst hotels we've seen in Italy -- the walls of the room were dirty, the A/C released water in a plastic barrel multiple times in the middle of the night and there was mold in the bathroom. Despite the fact that we're in the middle of a hot summer, the hotel could not sell us a bottle of water (they 'ran out of stock a few days ago'). If you want to enjoy Rome and always remember its charm, please do not stay at this place. I'm not sure who's reviewing it and giving it high grades...My advice: Don't stay there. It's not worth it!!!

I would suggest this hotel, because it is in a very good location and because it is very clean.

Be aware, that it is on the 2nd and 3rd floor of the building, which surprised me at first.

For me it was worth it.

  • Liked — It was very close to Piazza di Spagna!
  • Disliked — The entrace of the building. There was a broken glass and nobody thought to replace it or to put it away!

My time at this hotel was great. It was so close to everything that I only had to take a cab twice....once to get to the hotel and the other was to get back to the airport. I got a single room although the view from the window was dismal, I didn't mind since I was out exploring the city pretty much every day.

The room itself was also very nice. It was well lit, clean, and the washroom was cleaned everyday! I also never ran out of hot water....always a plus. I also liked the simple breakfast since you could just grab and go, excellent if you wanted to make it to the tourist places before the lines started!

Overall, this place was above my initial expectations. The staff were very helpful and friendly, the location was amazing (less than 5 minutes walk to the Spanish steps & Trevi Fountain), and I would definitely not hesitate to book their again the next time I visit the Eternal City!

We made very last minute reservations at the Doge and got a very nice room for 150 euros. The elevator was broken so we had to carry our heavy bags up many stairs but the room was very recently renovated with new tile and new furniture. It smelled new and clean. Air conditioning is extra but we didn't need it. You can't been the location of this hotel. We never took a cab and walked everywhere: Colosseum, Piazza Navona. Spanish Steps, Camp de Fiori. Trevi Fountain. We booked Carani tours for a tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel and it was well worth the 57 euro. I highly recommend this hotel and location for a 3 star under 200 euros.
