The rooms are cramped, noisy, dirty & poorly maintained. It looks chic from the exterior, however, that is where it ends. When we arrived, the room was adjacent to a myriad of air conditioning condensers and noisy beyond belief. We asked if we could be moved, which apparently we could at another $US100 per night (we were already paying I excess of $US400).
Forced to stay where we were our next problem was the TV: it was not connected, nor was the internet connection available. Later in the evening when we ran a bath the plug jammed & it could not be emptied. At night only a student is in charge of reception so there was nothing which could be done.
Shortly afterwards the bath/spa began to leak water from the drain, flooding the bathroom. Despite our requests we were now told no other rooms where available and it became impossible to use the bathroom. Think this was bad, it was only just the beginning! We then lost all electricity. The water had shorted the wiring.
We now had no bathroom, no electricity, no internet, no phone books, no concierge or manager, NOTHING! The saga continued, but you get the picture. There was no one in charge until after midday the following day and even then I had to insist on speaking to the manager by phone, he was not on the premises (waiting a couple of hours in the hotel to do so). Eventually we left the hotel in the afternoon and still the problem had not been fixed.
This was so frustrating and such a waste of time and money. The staff were rude and most unhelpful. This is somewhere you do not want to stay!
