Just 2 minutes from the Spanish stairs and therefor right in the centre of Rome, this small but very nice hotel in a quite side street of the Via Conditi (shopping area).
Maybe it was because we got an upgrade to a junior suite (we do not know why), but our stay was perfect.
Our room (junior suite) was huge (sitting area ensuite with the bedroom; bathroom with bubble bath and next room with all the rest (including huge seperate shower).
Airco on each area/room, very good windows (even the limited street noice was kept out by double glassed windows), very good bed, minibar; so all there what should be there in a very luxeriously fasion.
Small reception and breakfast area, but who cares (unless all hotel guests want to have breakfast at the same time but you can also have your breakfast served at the room).
Breakfast is basic (cornflakes or muesli, orange juice, bread (hard and soft rolls), italian ham, cheese, honey/jam, yoghurt and great capucino. So no large buffet but still very nice (also how it is served) but could have some variances especially when you stay longer than 2 to 3 days.
Tips from hotel reception could be better but was very friendly.

Overall a very big plus that really increased the plessure of visiting this beautifull city.

PS Make sure you do not get room 101 because I can imagine this is not great because your door is right in the breakfast area so if you have early breakfast guest, you will here them in your room.

Me and my partner , we stayed at the roof top suite of Intown.
It's a small hotel in the centre of Rome.
The place is just beautiful! Perfectly located ( believe me I've been in Rome 4 times the last 1,5 year ) , with the most helpful staff I have ever met, very clean and with high quality! Ask from the receptionist to bring your breakfast on your balcony for free!!!
Don't miss it!

We booked two double rooms for four nights. We checked in very late, but still were presented with a welcome drink. All was going well up to this point.

We were given our keys, and left to decide which rooms to take, having read previous comments about room 101 we were aware of the noise issue. At this point we were not aware that we had been given an upgraded room. Our friends were given a suite and encountered no problems. As it was so late we thought we would try the room. As other reviews has said, forget sleeping past 6.30 as the noise from the breakfast area is really unacceptable. The kitchen is on the other side of your headboard and sounds as if it is in your room when you are awoken. We complained only to be told there was no other room available. We put up with the noise for another night, were told the same story, at this point the manager said all he could offer us was a room in another hotel! I pointed out that we were travelling with friends and did not wish to be separated, he reluctantly offered us a 50 Euro discount, which we accepted for our discomfort.

When we returned to the hotel in the late afternoon, a room had miraculously become available (I now think someone who had booked it either checked out becuase it was so uncomfortable or took one look at the room and decided not to check in). Before agreeing to change rooms we asked to see the room, the room was miniscule, there was about 18 inches of room around the bed, a cupboard in one alcove that was the shower and the toilet and basin in the other cupboard!

We declined the move and were then told by a particularly surly receptionist that if we didn't move we could not have the previously negotiated discount! As we were very tired from the two previous nights lack of sleep we decided we would move.

This was a big mistake, the bed was rock hard, the ac didn't work well and was very noisey, the shower pressure was useless, the room was not soundproof as stated on their website you could still hear the lift and people talking in the stairwells, doors shutting etc. The final straw was when, some of our cosmetics got removed/accidently thrown out from the room. No effort was made compensate for the loss, only more rolling of the eyes and shrugging of the shoulders.

The staff did not seem to be able to comprehend or appreciate our situation at all, we were made to feel that we should have been eternally grateful for the upgrade. We did not ask for an upgrade, but having been given it, the standard double by comparasin was a considerable let down and very overpriced for what it was.

In conclusion, I would not recommend the hotel unless you're going to book a suite, which at 700 euros a night I'm sure most people would rather spend in one of the designer shops in the area.

My Husband and I stayed at the luxury house/hotel for three nights. The hotel is in a fabulous location, a 5 minute walk from Spagna (The Spanish Steps) underground station. The staff are attentive and friendly. We were given an upgrade to a junior suite at no extra cost and were offered breakfast in our room if desired, which we took up as it was pure luxury to just spend time together, having left our four children at home. The breakfast was great. You could choose to have cereals, pastries, fruits, yoghurts, bread & Cheese and coffee & tea or have them all! The room was great, spacious, immaculate with a king sized bed that was comfortable. There was also a jacuzzi bath to soak in at the end of a busy day. The hotel was a bit difficult to find, having walked up and down the road twice, we found we had been looking in a shop right next door! The hotel is entered by a glass door and is nestled between shops. This was our fourth trip to Rome and was definely the best place we have stayed. It was lovely and quiet being on the back streets. We would definitely stay at the hotel again.

Intown Luxery House is a 6 room hotel very central located in the middle of the upper-class shops (Gucci, D&G, etc). All interesting sites you would like to visit when in Rome are within 25 minutes walking distance, no need for taxi or underground. Hotel is close to the Spanish Strairs but away from all the growth. Besides the very good location the hotel also has a very good standard and although the room was not big, it was spacious enough for our 4 days stay (we were away most of the time anyway), well decorated and includes flatscreen and DVD-player, bathroom with jacuzzi, but most important for us it was clean end had good atmosphere. Front desk staff were helpful, friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good, not super, the coffee was from the machine but excelent. We had a standard room (2nd floor) which we think was the best value for money. Overall we would certainly recommend this hotel; location, clean, decoration, value for money.
