A flat in a very quiet complex which has been turned into a B&B. Rooms are quite small - this is the only negative comment. Towels are changed daily, the rooms are very clean, the en suite tastefully fitted. The complex is at the far end of a courtyard and therefore very safe and quiet (you need 3 keys to get into the complex and B&B front door as well as a bedroom door key). Each room has a digital TV and digibox and a safe. The location is about 500m from the Vatican and surrounded by restaurants and a wonderful market (excellent fresh fruit). For breakfast, you go to a café a few doors along where you get a juice, cappuccino and a croissant. For the price, cleanliness, facilities and location, its outstanding value.

We stayed at the Vatican Holiday in early October for 3 days. The B&B
is well located and within a 10 minutes walk to the Vatican. The room
we were given was very quiet but extremelly small even by the european standars. The shower measured 18" X 18" and it was so small
that it was hard to get through the door. So if you stay here, don't drop the soap withe showering.

The B&B staff was seldon seen. Thus, no much help/assistance was provided. Breakfast is taken at a local cafee and it is very basic: one coffe, one juice and a croissant. I consider this B&B overpriced for what you get.

I traveled with a friend to Rome and decided to stay away from the many many tourists. As a result we found this property. It's close to the metro station at Cipro exit. The market on via Andrea Doria is great during the day. Lots of fresh produce and cheeses. The walk to the Vatican Museums is pleseant and close, as is the internet cafe (just ask the front desk). MICHELE at the front desk is WONDERFUL and very helpful. He managed to arrange a 4am taxi to the airport for 45Euros. He was also there at 4am to bid us farewell. He provided suggestions for dinner and answered questions. With his limited English and my limited Italian we were able to communicate. The property is quiet and away from the many September tourists. This was a great choice! I would reccomd it to anyone. The towels are wonderful at this property, BIG bath sheets made of Egyptian cotton and they change out your towels everyday. We felt safe at this property and found it easy to navigate around the city from here. The metro does help (Buy either the extended "BIG" pass (4euro) or the 10-day pass, it's worth it!). The only drawback is that the room is very small, but it is functional. Also, the ensuite bathroom is small and functional. if you need alot of room, look elsewhere. If you are only needing a place to lay your head at the end of a day full of sightseeing that is clean, safe and cozy, this is the place for you. Also, the rooms also have safes. Chose this property, you won't regret it.

Staying at the Vatican Holiday was a pleasant surpise for us. When we first looked at the building that is located at the inner backyard of the main entrance of Andrea Doria street, we thought we'd made the wrong choice..but we were so wrong. The rooms seemed to be recently renovated, were air-conditioned, with lcd tvs, hydromassage bathtubs/showers, and very quiet. The metro station is very close, but also there is no parking problem in this area, if you have a car. Breakfast is served at a cafeteria 50meters from the hotel (only coffee-juice and croissant). I've been to Rome many times, and I find Prati and Vatican area quiter and more "Roman" than the center of Rome (or close to Termini station). Vatican Holiday is a Nice B&B and would be my first choice for my next visit.

We have just returned from a week at the Vatican Hotel. Its location is close to the Vatican Museum. Bus/metro connections to the centre are good, in the night there is 99N bus regularly driving from the centre, takes around 10 minutes.

The hotel is basically a flat converted into B&B. Rooms are very nice and clean. The building is located at an inner backyard, therefore very quiet, you can sleep with open window.

The reservation was done over internet, worked well. The price 90EUR includes a breakfast at a local bar. Breakfast is simple (coffee, juice, croissant) but the bar is a perfect place for observing the authentic live of Romans.

“Alexander Platz”, the best jazz club in Rome, is just around the corner. A market at Via Andrea Doria is practically downstairs. There are also plenty of local restaurants/bars in the area.

WLAN available for free.

Summary: if you like the hotel’s location, would like to get some rest from hordes of tourists and don¨t care about rather small room (for photos see their homepage) this is the perfect place to stay!

Advice: buy/print from internet a map of ATAC bus transportation system, otherwise the navigation can get rather inefficient.

Wish you nice stay in Rome!
