Retrome navona is located very centrally - a short walk away from Piazza Navona. That makes it very good. There is a supermarket in the same block - hence shoppingis easy. Good for the family with children.

The place is very run down - virtually no maintenance at all. Everything looks old and run down - which it is. Hot water runs out after a while - our daughter decided to take a slightly long bath and then there was no hot water for a while. The place definitely needs sprucing up. No TV connection - the internet works very well though.

OK for a short break - but maybe we will not go back to this propoerty again - given a choice.

We just returned from Rome and was very happy with the Retrome Navona. The location cannot be beat. We had 6 people (3 adluts & 3 teenagers) plenty of room. Only one bathroom so schedule quick showers or it there will be no hot water. Could have been a bit cleaner but would absolutely stay there again. Owner very accommodating and friendly. (Please note the owner has other properties in Rome so not all of the reviews shown as Retrome Navona on TripAdvisor are for this property.).

We {2 adults & 1 teenager} stayed at RetRome Colosseum - old apartment with high ceilings and plenty space for 4 - only one bathroom so more than 4 could be difficult. You can see the Arch of Constatine from the windows . As the location was so central we were able to walk to many of the main tourist attractions and there are grocery stores, restaurants and bars aplenty within a few hundred metres of the apartment. For us the apartment was great as we could spend the day walking and relax in the evening with wine and food which was a winning setup.

I had a mixed stay at Retrome. The property is centrally located right next to Termini station. Breakfast is included at a nearby cafe, and consists of a pastry and coffee/juice. You also get 15 minutes free internet each day at an internet cafe close by.

The room I stayed in was not cleaned in the week I stayed there - including no change of towels. The rooms were hot and stuffy despite having a small fan. The hostel is also rather run down, the sheets really need to be replaced.

Although the hosts were pleasant, I had some issues with one - for eg. he noted he would come to the hostel and take those who were staying there to watch a soccer game, but he never showed up. The other host does a magic show each week, which is entertaining but probably more so for younger guests.
