Mom and I decided to spend a week in Rome, and picked Residenza Ki because it offered a good price in a good location.
We were disappointed on the first evening (a Saturday) because our room faced the street, and immediately below us was a restaurant that was holding an outdoor party. (I slept through it, but mom did not.) As it happens, they were going to move us to an interior room the next day anyway. We never had any problem with noise after that. In fact, the restaurant appeared to be closed during the week, and there was no party the following Saturday night.
Apart from that, we had absolutely no problems. The room was always clean. Breakfast was always good. Francesco at reception was always friendly...each morning he would draw us a map of how to get where we were going that day. The hotel is small, tucked away on a little side street... in fact you have to "just know" that you check in at the Hotel Fellini next door. But this was definitely a plus, not a minus. There was always hot water.
Lots of restaurants, bars, cafes, and so on nearby. The metro is a block away, as are main bus routes. We would usually spend our mornings walking to our destination, then take a bus back to our neighborhood in the evening, after dinner...we never had to change buses. The neighborhood felt perfectly safe at all times.
In addition to English, I heard French, German, and several other languages in the breakfast room. It was an ideal little European inn, and I would definitely stay there again.
