This hotel is located on the fourth floor of a building that is far from central Rome. We were aware that it was on the outskirts so this was not an issue for us. The subway is very cheap and easy to use and a station is located within steps of the hotel. There is also a taxi stand very close by. There are no good restaurants within walking distance, ditto for shopping.
The staff consisted of one man and one woman. The man was pleasant and is helpful if you can converse with him in italian. The woman is very rude and border line iignorant. I bit my tongue numerous times at her tone. We were advised not to use an iron in the room in a very irritating way. Also the wait for our room to be ready was made as uncomfortable as possible. No help with storing luggage while we waited, so we had to stand by our luggage and wait the two hours or lug it all with us.
The elevator is very small. It will hold one person and one piece of luggage or two people. So beware if travelling with luggage. The rooms are very small and the TV is tiny and only shows italian stations. There is no internet at the hotel and no cafe within walking distance. The rooms were moderately clean. Despite the claim to having air conditioning, it is turned off from noon until 2pm and then again at about 1 am until you request it turned back on in the morning.
All in all we knew we were skimping on the hotel in Rome in order to enjoy Cortona and Sorrento but we certainly received far less than what we expected. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone and i will not be returning to it.
