I have to say that I have never met such an attentive, detailed, friendly and hands-on hotel manager as Alessandro. He went beyond the call of duty and surprised us with his attention. Following, I will mention of few of Alessandro's details so that you understand what I am talking about.
I asked for availability for the hotel through the hotel's website (I recommend you try and book directly with the hotel because you might get a better rate). When I made the reservation, Alessandro offered to arrange for a taxi to take us to the airport at the end of our trip at no extra charge. The last day of our trip, when the taxi arrived, Alessandro personally took our four VERY heavy pieces of luggage to the first floor and helped to pack them in the Mercedes Benz.
Another example was seen when we checked out of the hotel. I decided to pay for the hotel bill with all of my remaining euros so that I did not have to bring the euro's back home. After having paid the bill exhausting all of my cash, Alessandro became concerned that I would not have any cash to purchase something to eat at the airport and out of his own initiative offered to give me back a few euros so that I was not left without any euro cash. I have never seen such a gesture from any hotel manager and it just goes to show the quality of the service and attentiveness that Alessandro and his crew provided to us. I rejected Alessandro's offer because I knew that I could pay with my credit card at the airport, but obviously thanked him for his gesture.
Another example of the good service occurred when we decided to go to the Borghese Gallery. I just asked Alessandro what did I have to do and he quickly called the Gallery and made reservations for us. Just another example of the top class service at Roma Boutique Hotel.
The room itself was stylishly decorated, very clean and although not huge, had sufficient space to have a comfortable stay. The continental breakfast in the morning was delivered to our room and was good. A great attribute of the room that cannot be understated is that it was sound proof. I did not hear noise coming from the outside. You may be surprised at how many hotels in Europe have a problem with this. Therefore, I really appreciated this. In addition, the air conditioning worked perfectly.
As for the location, I will just say that it is excellent. The hotel is walking distance from most major attractions of ancient Rome. My advice is that when visiting Rome for leisure, it really pays to have a hotel with good location. You will be able to make the most of your time.
The only thing that you should have in mind when deciding to stay in this hotel is that it is in the 4th floor of a commercial building, so it does not have large common areas or amenities such as a bar or pool. However, if you are not looking for those things and are just looking for a nice stylish room, incredible staff and an excellent location from which to see Rome, then look no further and stay at Roma Boutique. The next time that I am in Rome I will definitely stay at this hotel. My wife and I left with beautiful memories from our trip to Rome and this hotel definitely helped in achieving that great experience.
