This hotel is located within easy walking distance to the sights. Close to two subway stops (Republica and Termini). The room was very clean, quiet and very comfortable. The room we stayed in had a king size bed and a whirlpool bathtub. The laptop in the room (including internet at no extra charge) was great for finding out info about the city in English. There is no staff during the day other than breakfast or when you are checking in (they email you and ask when you'll be checking in). There is a phone number to call for help but phone calls cost 1.50 euros a minute. Instead use the laptop to find out any thing you need. Breakfast was small (toast, croissants, yogurt, cereal, juice and coffee) but good. To be clear there was one type of toast (white), one type of croissant, two kinds of yogurt and two flavors of juice (pineapple and grapefruit). In order to find it you have to go to the address of the hotel and there is a apartment buzzer with a small brass plate with the hotel's name on it. It is a group of three rooms that are in a suite of an office/condo building. So outside of the three rooms are office suites and condos. This creates one small inconvenience you have to carry around a large set of keys (actual metal keys not key cards). One key for the building, one for the door to the suites, your room key and a safe key. When we arrived we noticed a sign that said their credit card machine was broken and you'd have to pay cash. This sign looked like it had been there for a while even though their official website says they take credit cards. I highly recommend anyone to stay here. It is an excellent value for Rome. It only cost 5 euros more than a hostel that was a few blocks away. Enjoy your stay in Rome!

The place is excellent. My husband and I had a nice comfy room which not only had a great internet connection but also a laptop with it!!!

This is the only place where we got a laptop in the room..

Everything was nice and clean and above all the hostess, Maria, was absolutely superb. She was warm and approachable. On the first night, we had a problem using the shower so we called her.. and she came over just to check it up.

The breakfast was just the basic stuff, croissants, bread, jam, butter and all.. but the good thing was that since we left early everyday before the breakfast time, we could just take all this stuff from the kitchen counter and the fridge!

It was also very close to the train station which made it very convenient.

  • Liked — The internet and the location
  • Disliked — The shower cubicle was too small

This B&B was better than any of the old, cramped, expensive hotels I've stayed in in Europe. It's like having your own little apartment with the bonus of someone cleaning your room and providing you breakfast each day!

My partner and I stayed here a week, in the double bedroom with ensuite, fast internet, a mini-fridge, and tv. The room was a good size and included a desk, small table, double bed, wardrobe and personal safe. It really was like a second home as there are only 3 rooms in the B&B - it is part of an apartment building, the staff are mainly only there when needed to provide breakfast, welcomes and farewells for guests and thus it is very peaceful. They are contactable by phone at any time though. Breakfast included options of toast, pastries, or cereal plus juices, fruits and yoghurts. Very nice, healthy and fresh food.

The location of the B&B is very close to the main Termini so if you want public transport it is only a short stroll away. Traffic noise was not bad considering you're in a busy part of the city. My partner and I decided to walk to all the sights of Rome each day and found that very easy to do from where we were staying.

I am so glad we decided to stay here and I wholeheartedly recommend this accomodation to anyone who wants a pleasant and value-for-money stay in Rome. The information on their web-site is all correct and clearly reflective of the property. As an added bonus I found their customer service via email very fast, courteous and easy to understand when I was booking and sending questions to them prior to our stay. We will definitely return and we thank the staff for making our visit such a pleasure.

My husband and I stayed here this July for four nights. It was the cleanest B&B in which we have ever stayed. Rooms were cleaned daily, beds made and towels changed. As promised on the website, the room had a laptop with fast wireless connection which was extremely helpful in planning our day-to-day activities. The fridge was stocked with water bottles on arrival (thoughtful of the staff!), which was really welcome in the hot summer. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. We were allowed to keep our luggage in the room for a couple of hours after check-out. Continental type breakfast with good expresso, which suited us fine.

On the downside, there is no clear sign on the building indicating the B&B. The only way to find it is to look for the doorbell (and that I knew only by reading a traveller's review). Also, there is no one on the property except for breakfast and check-in/out. But they provided a telephone number for contacting them at all hours and it worked fine.

It is very close to Termini and there are several eateries and a laundry nearby. On the whole, this has been like staying at home and I would certainly recommend this place to my friends.

  • Liked — Cleanliness and internet access in the room
  • Disliked — Absence of clear signs indicating the B&B

This is a nice b&b. Room was cleaned daily with fresh towels. Nice whirlpool bath and shower. Room has laptop with free access which comes in handy for researching restaurants etc.
The b&b has a bus stop directly over the road and termini station/metro is a couple of minutes down the road.
The b&b is in a private apartment block so can be confusing to find as it has no sign outside. Basically it's at the bottom of the road (sorry cannot recall the road name), practically the last large wooden door on the left hand side. If you look to the right of the door where all the individual buzzers are you will see aelius b&b on a small sign. Once inside it's on the second floor.
Flat screen tv only had a couple of English channels, but that won't bother most people as you spend such little time inside. Plenty of restaurants around the local area.
