“5 min from termini.”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed December 24, 2013

Just 5 min from termini, great location.
If you don't have great expectations this hotel is for you. Little bit worn and old but you sleep well enough in here.
In my room there was couple faulty lights and ac machine was out of order.
Safebox and minimini bar is provided.
Take earplugs with you, walls are very thin and you can hear every whisper at next room.
Otherhand, breakfast was very nice, you won't start the day with empty stomach.
There is a elevator, but it is so small that wheelchair etc. dont fit there.

Room Tip: Keep those earplugs at handy!

Very close of the main reailway station Termini. The meeting point of sightseeing tours in the neighbourhood. Nice room, only AC was so noisy. Excellent breakfast - buffet.
In walking distance are the most important sighjts of Rome like Colosseum, Piazza Venezia or Fountain de Trevi

great location. we have been to all the memorials by walking. perfect!!! and the bus and subway is next to it. the rooms are very small but warm and clean. it's exacle what you need after whole day out. warm water and a/c. nice bed. if you close the windows you don't hear nothing from the busy street but sometimes you can hear the next room guests.
the breakfast is terrible. very very poor , without any warm dishes and all the coffees with strange taste. the staff is all chinese and not professionals. i will stay to this hotel again but without to pay for breakfast. in the area you have alot of choices for meals and very good prices. and it's mcdonalds next door. :)

Room Tip: our room faced the opera. the view from there is better and the street is not so noisy.

Located 5 minutes from the main Termini station in a quiet street beside the Opera House, the hotel has a charming old world lounge area on the first floor. Staff could not have been friendlier, excellent breakfast provided. Had a comfortable restful stay in corner room 426 with 2 balconies overlooking the opera house and the Via Viminale.

Hotel Impero was a great find. Friendly staff and comfortable, clean and updated rooms. Very nice breakfast spread as well. The only downfall was having to pay for wifi (per device too). Location was great, a couple of blocks away from the train station but still in a decent area and within walking distance to major attractions such as the colosseum.

Ideal place 10 mins from railway station, almost central for getting around Rome, Open tour bus the red bus 20 Euros best one for tour get on and off use ticket all day we did a day tour then an evening one brilliant great value. Ice cream again getting very expensive so check before you buy. a great couple of restaurants across the road from hotel good food.

A good clean value for money hotel, based close to the Termini and within walking distance of the forum and colosseum etc. The continental breakfast was delicious with a good variety of food. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay particularly Shan Shan who was very pleasant. The room wasnt huge but that is what is to be expected in a city, the bathroom was a decent size. Clean towels everyday and rooms cleaned. It is nice to sit on the roof garden and in the bar. The bar prices are on a par with the rest of Rome but are high. A free secure safe in the bedroom which is unusual as most places make you pay. We had a problem with the hairdryer and it was sorted promptly when we reported it. An excellent base and I would stay here again, easy to find from the Termini.
If you are over 65 make sure you take your passport to the main attractions as you can get in free which I thought was very good (they dont look after pensioners like that in England!) dont buy from the stalls or cafes around the main areas as you will pay extortionate prices, check menus before buying if possible as prices in restaurants vary a lot.
A beautiful city that is well worth a visit.

Room Tip: We faced the Opera house which may have been a little quieter than the other side, still on a road b...
