There's only one thing great about this B&B, the owner and his wife. They will make your stay in Rome a comfortable one.

However, I can't really recommend this if you don't want to change B&B's and you need some good toilet and bath.

We transferred from one B&B to another because of overbooking (I think). The owner said there was a plumbing problem on his B&B so we had to stay on another B&B on the first night in Rome and then the following day had to stay in another B&B and had to go to their B&B for breakfast and internet. If you got dizzy reading this, I'm not surprised.

It was really inconvenient. Plus we stayed in a room on the street side and at 7am in the morning, the cars were already honking and that woke us up every single day we stayed in that room.

The water in the shower doesn't drain right away and you are stuck in the closet with water.

Breakfast was instant croissants and other packed breads. I don't get it why they were called B&B and not have good breakfast.

Happy Holiday was clean and well located (5 minute walk from two metro stops). Be prepared for some good walks if you don't want to catch the metro. Price wise it beats a lot of the competition - comparative hostels can cost up to €20 more per night.

The photos I saw before booking were slightly deceiving but I wasn't too disappointed. We booked a family room which was supposed to be two adjoined rooms however we were put in a large room with a double + two twin beds all in one. Breakfast was very basic (cereal / pastries) so don't expect the Ritz.

In summary, I would definitely stay at this hostel again. In comparison to other hostels in Rome the value and quality of accommodation can't be beat.

Stayed for 3 nights. Room had air-conditioner, hair drier, bath (complete), safe & tv. Common area included a fridge & kitchen. Great location just 3 min away from subway / bus stop. Distance to coliseum was 5 min by bus/subway. Breakfast was very good. Room was large, clean sheets / towels. Very comfortable. Area has good bars/restaurants and is very safe at night. Only negative comment is that we were sent to another location (5 min walking carrying our large bags) in order to get to the other B&B provided by Happy Holiday (which was full).

My partner and I stayed at this B&B for 5 nights last month.
It is ideally situated (10 min walk from the coliseum) and despite the fact that it is situated on a busy street it is quite quiet.
The (shared) bathroom was usually clean and the room as well.

The only bad thing is that breakfast is served in a separate flat to the one of the rooms and we weren't able to have breakfast twice because the door to that flat was closed and no one was there to open the door.

Still, this B&B is a good and "cheap" option (compared to other hotels in Rome).

My son and I very much enjoyed our 4 day stay here. The Owners were very cheerful, helpful and generous with their time and advice and made every effort to make us and other guests comfortable. There was ample fresh food to eat all day long or we could cook for ourselves if we wanted. Our rooms were spacious, and quiet. Free internet a bonus. The bathroom was shared but everything was cleaned daily. Lots of towels. A bit hard to initially find but very well located to the transit system once we had our bearings.Great location , not too far a walk from the Colosseum. The elevator was appreciated although there were some stairs to negotiate first. I would not hesitate to stay here again. I felt we received great value.
