Stayed two nights at Tolentino and had a great experience. Compared to B&Bs and agriturismos we'd just stayed at in other parts of Italy it wasn't cheap - our double was 150 Euro. But Rome itself isn't cheap, and our great experience justified the pricetag.
The B&B is on the second floor of an old building just off Piazza Barberini. My understanding from earlier reviews is that the rooms were renovated last year; they're modern, clean, well-decorated and have tons of character.
Our room was somewhat small. On the plus side, it had really high ceilings and a fantastic and large bathroom. It was also completely free from street noise - in fact, the only noise at all was from a group of noisy Italians staying in the room next to us one night.
We booked a second room for one of the nights because my parents were joining us. They had a suite for 165 Euro, which had all the good features of our smaller double but was much larger, with a separate sitting room.
I can't say enough about Joey, the B&B's manager. He's friendly, professional, and always available to help. He normally serves breakfast to guests in their rooms between 8 and 10AM, but went out of his way to bring us breakfast at 6:15 one morning because we had to leave early to pick up my parents at the airport. On the topic of breakfast, it has somewhat more variation than the typical Italian cornetto and cappuccino - Joey gives guests the option of choosing juice, cereal and other items.
If and when I return to Rome I'll stay here without hesitation.
