We went to Rome for two nights and chose Hotel Centro after reading about it on Tripadvisor. It was lovely! The staff we met at the hotel was excellent. They were very nice and helpful.
The breakfast was a lot better than we expected after reading about it on Tripadvisor. We had fresh fruit, fresh croissants and bread rolls, nutella, jam, juice, freshly made cappuccinos and boiled eggs. We are veggies so we didn´t look for the ham and sausages.
We booked room 510, which is a room with the possibility to have 2 extra beds. But the best is the big terrace! It was really nice to walk out on to the terrace in the morning and it was even better to sit there in the evening and drink wine. Even if I have to admit it was a bit dark :-) It was after all the end of October. But with the terracce lights on it was good enough. The overall finish of the hotel was ok. A bit worn and a some flaws here and there, but there was a built in charm that was hard for us to resist.
The hotel is placed on a quiet side street but very central. We walked from the hotel to tourist attractions like Pantheon, Fontana di Trevi, St Peters cathedral, Piazza Navone and Colloseum. And it was a 10 minute walk to the train station to go with the airport express train.
I wouldn´t hesitate a second to book (room 510) again if when we go back to Rome.
