We ended up at Hotel Centro after an overbooking somewhere else, but what a great little place. Rooms were a good size and very large bathrooms by european standards, with a nice private balcony off the room which was great.
This Hotel is in a good location, close to several major attractions and beside one of the main shopping Streets, Via Nazionale. Taxi fares to some main attractions were between 8 to 15 Euro, very resonable, and sometimes very fast!!
Staff were excellent, spoke excellent English and could not do enough to help you with inquiries, bookings etc, all very good, Had some laughs trying to open bottles of wine, as the Hotel only seemed to have one bottle opener (Cork Screw), but overall a very good quality, value for money Hotel, in good location, run by very professional and helpful staff. Would stay again.

The Hotel Centro was great value for money. It was in a great location right near Termini station. For us, a young couple, it was within walking distance to everything - we didn't catch public transport the whole time we were in Rome. The staff were helpful and courteous but not intrustive. The rooms were clean and comfortable. We stayed there twice as we had a one night stop-over on the way back from Paris and the second room we were given was much better than the first. Try to avoid the rooms on the ground floor! They are a bit dungeon like! This was not a super-plush hotel, but it was all that we expected and we would stay there again.

This hotel was a lovely surprise. I booked it because we needed a cheap, clean, one-night stay before heading off on a tour and was pleasantly surprised by the spaciousness of our room. We are a family of four so they gave us a small apartment with 2 rooms with 2 queen beds and big fluffy pillows. Breakfast was exceelent and the staf friendly and helpful. Location was very convenient too.

  • Disliked — the porter expected a tip and I wanted to carry my own bag the 20 metres to the room

We were very pleased with the Centro, large and clean rooms including bathroom. Breakfast was OK. Convenient to rail station and easy walking to all major attractions. Would stay again.

Room was very small and dark. Walls were dirty and needed painting
Air conditioning was noisy and couldn't be left on at night
Saving grace was a tiny balcony
Breakfast was very basic with a machine for hot drinks
Close to rail station but not the nicest of areas to walk around
