I stayed at milton hotel during my vacations in rome in 19 may 2009. The hotel is very clean, the staff very helpfull, the location is great (across the street there is a metro station called manzoni).Breakfast was great too and the price was fantastic 320 euros for 3 nights. I suggest this hotel to everyone but the only disadvantage is the noise from the big road in the one side of the hotel. If u ask for a room in the other side everything would be perfect

Very nice structure centrally located. All the staff is very friendly and polite. A special thank to the high, thin blond girl always smiling who has helped us at any time with a unique patience!!

The Palatine Hill, Forum and Colosseum is 15 minute walk. Rosaria, the manager is very helpful and sweet. The other lady on duty is rude. Breakfast is ok, doesn't vary much each day. Room size is ok for a couple. Matress is saggym with bedmites. Shower door is just halfway, which is common in any hotels in Europe. Floor near the tub gets wet. .
Need your earplugs at night as you can hear the noise of the police and ambulance sirens, which always happens each night. No room service. No restaurants. Restaurants in the neighborhood do not offer good food. Did not feel safe dining out at night in the neighborhood Few street lights down the street. No night life around the neighborhood. Pricey for its location and service. I won't go back there again.

We stayed at the Milton for 3 nights in February, 09. Happy with everything throughout our stay. On arrival reception was very friendly, and gave us a detailed map of the city with all the major attractions. About a 5 minute walk from termini train station (which we took from the airport, took about 25 minutes). About 10 mins walk from the Colosseum and Forum. There is a lot of nice restaurants around this area. Manzoni train station is literally right across the street from the hotel, which takes you to all the major attractions, however we found it quite easy to walk to everything, apart from the Vatican. Perhaps if you visit in the middle of summer it would be pretty hot walking to everything but we had no problem in February, beautiful weather.
You can buy a 24 hour pass for 4 euros if you want to.
Hotel was quite modern, the beds were very comfortable, nice room, bathroom was lovely. Room size was normal. I didnt find it small as a lot of people say about european hotel rooms.
Breakfast was the best we had out of the 6 hotels we stayed in across europe.
Provided everything you could want and was included in the room price.
All in all very pleased, would stay again!
