Matisse B&B is a wonderful place to stay, in general. Very quiet, so I slept very well. The staff are very friendly and always available to cater to your needs. Roberto, the owner, actually spent an hour and a half trying to find me the best priced repair shop for my laptop after my friend accidentally pushed it off the table while we were having breakfast.

Roberto was extremely helpful in providing us info of area. He took time to show us other rooms to select. Room and bathroom were clean with the needed amenities. 24 hour access to food and beverage. And, it was conveniently located. We would definitely return to this B&B! Thank you, Roberto!

This was my first time traveling to Rome and I was really lucky to have booked this bed and breakfast. I couldn't have asked for a better experience. I arrived late and was tired from my flight, but the owner Roberto was really kind and understanding. The staff members were also great, always quick to answer questions and help me for directions. Roberto and the staff members made my stay as comfortable as possible. My room was cosy, clean, and neat with a very comfortable bed. There was also 24 hour self-service breakfast bar with, coffee, tea, and yummy tiramisu! This was really cost effective and helped me save alot of money. The bed and breakfast was located right in the center next to all the historical attractions. The price was very affordable for everything provided: great room, great location, great free breakfast, and pleasant staff. I'm definitely returning to Italy next year and Matisse is where I'll be staying!

I found this B&B on TripAdvisor and the majority of the reviews were great so decided to book it for 18-20 May. We stayed in Matisse itself, room No. 9 (the one that has ensuite bathroom) We arrived late on the 18th, Sav was there to welcome us, gave us a map and info about the area - location, places to eat etc, very helpful! We checked into our room and headed over to the Irish bar for food and a drink. This B&B is in a great location, being on Via Nazionale it is very central to lots of places, the only place we took a bus to was to the Vatican, everywhere else we walked to.
Sav suggested restaurants in the nearby area which were great, definately try 'Target' which is one the same side of the road as Matisse, out the main door and to the left, 2 streets along. Lovely restaurant to eat dinner outside.
Having access to some food & drink in Matisse 24hrs was an added bonus. Our room was great, we had a double bed with ensuite. I think our room was the only one with the ensuite all the other rooms had bathrooms located across the corridor or down the other end of a corridor. Great air con as well.
Both Sav & Electra were extremely helpful throughout our stay. Would definately recommend this B&B. Hope to return someday - Victoria & Ashley
