“2nd time back and not our last.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 7, 2012

We have just returned from Rome after our second trip. We stayed at night and day for our second time with our 6 year old son.
Monica was again so accommodating and hospitable. You really get a feel of welcoming from the moment you arrive and you are made to feel right at home.
We were recommended by family friends to stay here last year and although we can afford the high price of hotels in such a city, we went on the advise given. Both of us were a little hesitant to stay in a B&B at first but once we arrived and met Monica it all just felt right.
After our experience here we will now endeavour to stay at more B&B's because you get to understand and more of the real people. Also a person working in a hotel reception will never go out of there way to the lengths Monica will to accommodate your every need. We have seen so much of Rome in our 2 visits but will return many times in the years to come and keep in contact with Monica. She has made us friends and not only guests. AAA

Staying at Night & Day makes you feel like you're staying at the home of a friend. Monica greets you with a map marked with all the best places to go, and she was often around in the summer as her other staff were on holidays, so we also chatted a few times over coffee or breakfast. Really recommend asking her advice for things to do in Rome as she knows it all off the top of her head.

The room and bathroom were always clean and spotless, and the kitchen had everything you needed to cook a quick meal. The shared bathroom was shared with only one other room if the place was full, it may have been a better value option. Only problem was the lack of air-conditioning during the hottest period in July/August but there is a fan in each room so you can make do. It also certainly won't be a problem during the rest of the year.

The amount of knowledge Monica knows is amazing! Se greeted us at 9pm at night when we arrived. Gave us a full run down on where everything was and best places to eat. The hostel is clean and tidy. I would have no hesitations in staying here again.

Well it's been a while since we stayed here but I still wanted to do a review - because from our 6mth world trip with family (2 adults & 2 kids aged 8 & 12yrs) this really stood out as a family favourite.
1: LOCATION - it really doesn't get any better than this..(arrived by train from Venice - perfect - just a short stroll)
2: MONICA - hostess made our stay - perfect - from trip ideas, even getting up super early to get us breakfast for early days adventure to Sistine Chapel etc...
wished all accom was truly like this...

Room Tip: contact Monica to confirm your arrival time etc & she will make sure your sorted.

Night and Day was an amazing place to stay. We arrived in the afternoon and were very warmly greeted by Monica. She was extremely generous with her time and gave us both a detailed overview of Rome. She drew up a map of important places to see, restaurants to try and gelato that was not to be missed.
The hostel itself has three bedrooms that are well sized, the facility's are very good, kitchen, fridge, coffee machine, iron etc and all the rooms were kept clean every day.
When we return to Rome, night and day is the only place we would stay.
Thank you Monica!

Stayed in June 2011. The location could not have been better. Monica was so nice and helpful. She gave us a map of all the best restaurants and sights in Rome. We were 4 friends travelling (had 2 rooms), and shared a bathroom with a third room. There was a small kitchen for cooking. Free breakfast (coffee + pastry of your choice) in a nearby café was included in the price. Would highly recommend!
