“A Nobile Home in the Centre of Rome”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed August 15, 2014

This is the perfect sanctuary away from the crowds in Rome's wonderful city centre. The perfect location next to all the main sites although close to the authentic Rione Monte District where you can find a fantastic variety of trendy stores, cafes, wine bars and authentic restaurants.
Upon arrival the lovely owner along with her welcoming staff are there to greet you. You are feel at home by her lovely smile. The premises is ideal even for families. They also have a wonderful restaurant where you can enjoy local fair. The common rooms and garden are delightful and the breakfast perfect.
I could not recommend this location more!
Thank you to your wonderful staff our clients loved their stay at your beautiful home.

We had 3 rooms and stayed 2 nights there. The hotel is just a block way from the presidential house, right in the middle of the city but in a very quiet neighbourhood. The architecture and interior are beautiful and classic while the rooms are equipped with state of art technologies, including a master switch by the bed, a multi charger socket that fits any gadgets you can think of and a TV with hundreds of channels. Bath rooms are spacious. And this is one of the few hotels with complementary mini bars... We had two lunches in the hotel garden, light food, relaxing ambiance. Hotel staff are very friendly and professional. The gym is located on the basement, not big but has all you need. Overall, an excellent experience. We will stay there again when we are in Rome next.

Well located cosy villa with a nice garden. Very comfortable and good equipped apartment with remarkable design that pleased our senses! The villa itself, its surroundings and an outstanding hospitality of the host allows for a long pleasant stay in Rome!

This hotel is simply the best in Rome. It is discreet and quiet. The staff are attentive, friendly and helpful. The rooms are insulated against the outdoor noise. Breakfast can be had either in the breakfast room or in the garden. It's the only hotel I will now use when in Rome.

My wife and I spent 5 nights in June 2014 at the Villa Spalletti and only have great things to say about our experience. Having spent close to 40 hours researching various Rome hotels and speaking with friends who had traveled there and also one who lives there, it became apparent that Rome is full of all kinds of hotels and most of them have *tiny* rooms unless you are willing to shell out the big bucks (>1000 euros/night) during peak travel season. Thankfully, I followed my instincts and trusted the superlative ratings on Tripadvisor to pick Villa Spalletti and we were wowed in every respect. From the attention to detail in the room (which was the size of a decent sized master bedroom in the US with a walk in closet and an amazingly spacious bathroom) to the wonderful breakfast service in the morning to the peaceful garden with fans to stay cool and the living space to enjoy FIFA games and a glass of wine in the evenings, everything was top notch. The front desk was helpful in every respect and everybody was only concerned with making our stay as wonderful as possible.

We would go back in a heartbeat!

Room Tip: I don't think that they have any bad rooms. We had Room 8 overlooking the garden and it was fant...

The only reason I gave this a very good review is because this style of hotel is not my preferred one. That said, it is nothing short of a wonderful experience, should the experience you want to have be that of living like Italian royalty.

The Villa Spalletti is luxury at its most opulent and ornate. Heavy brocades, dark panels, large tapestries, room after room, make for an environment that harkens back to the days of the Ludovisi Buoncampagnis and the Borgheses. And, given the Villa's location on a very quiet street behind one of the presidential palaces, there was a certain feeling of fortress that added to its royal airs.

Thus, the extremely understated hosts are there only when called upon and, even then, in the most hushed toned way. This is very clearly an "upstairs" experience.

We were there only one night, but we made the most of the grand rooms, hosting others for drinks, partook of the fantastic spa and very much enjoyed the traditionally appointed room. Each nothing short of perfect, for this genre.

So, if you want to live Rome like one of its famed royal families, definitely try the Villa.

Boutique elegance that cannot be outdone. Rooms, service, location, facilities...5 star perfection. We will never stay anywhere in Rome other than this Villa. What more does one have to say? Just simply...thank you for a wonderful stay xx
