“The perfect city hotel”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed April 23, 2013

We've stayed here twice now and it's simply our favourite city hotel anywhere. Beautiful interiors, great location, excellent staff, lovely garden and very peaceful. Not for families or people wanting an "urban scene". For everyone else- perfection.

I love to stay in nice- 5 star hotels but this time we decided with my husband to experience a luxury accommodation but not In a hotel. We are glad that we did.
This is the nicest place I have stayed in Rome and Much better than other typical 5 star luxury hotels I have experienced in other countries. It is a real Italian authentic villa in the center of Rome and at the same time away from the massive tourism. The classical, original, baroque deco has been maintained through the time.
You need to ring the bell to open you the door like visiting the villa of your rich Italian friend.
The atmosphere, the hospitality and the service is far away from a 5 star hotel. There is a personal touch to everything.
The breakfast is complete and fresh. You don't know what to choose from their lovely buffet.
The free mini bar and aperitif in the evening makes you feel like you are in your friends house.
The gym has new equipment and is unexpected big compare to the size of the hotel.
The room is quite, (you only hear the birds from the park) and is very original decorated. Even the 25 square meters rooms are space full.
It's a value for money !! and even more.
I highly recommend it.

Stayed at the Villa back in August with my wife for 3 nights. I wish it was longer. With all of the busy touristy hotels, this always felt like you are at a friends house (okay, a very large friends house). Respectful, cheerful staff who would only be there if you needed them. Special order breakfast or restocking the mini-fridge in your room(Always Free). We never really ran into anyone else while we were there. After touring during the day the back gardens were a wonderful way to just stop and take a long breath in a quiet surrounding with a complimentary drink in hand and comfortable outdoor furniture. This place was extremely clean wherever you went. We would not hesitate to stay there again.

Room Tip: It doesn't matter what room you choose, even the smaller ones are still huge compared to other E...

I never realized such an oasis of tranquility existed within the historic centre of Roma. It’s only a mere 5 minute walk from the Trevi fountain yet everything about this beautifully appointed mansion oozes privacy and exclusivity. We had been looking at the reviews of Villa Spalletti while staying at a rather vanilla hotel and after some deliberation over the prices decided that we would probably regret not giving it a shot. Arriving early for check-in we were treated to some coffee, tea and petit fours. Even better was an upgrade to a prestige double which in combination with the special offer at the time made it quite good value. The bedrooms and open areas are exquisitely furnished. Coupled with exemplary service, I couldn’t find fault with this hotel. A terrific experience.

We arrived on a rainy afternoon, to be welcomed by a very friendly and helpful lady who was informative without being overpowering.
Our room was spotless, with just the right amount of everything with the added bonus of a free mini bar
The breakfast was varied and everything beautifully presented, service could be requested by pressing a bell, these were strategically placed in all public areas of the hotel.
The only two points that could make this hotel "6 star" would be tea & coffee making facilities in the room ( a cup of tea after a busy day sight seeing was €6 ) and wine would have been much appreciated in the mini bar as neither of us drink spirits.
All in all this was the best hotel that I have ever stayed in and I felt sad to say goodbye.

Room Tip: All rooms are of equal quality some are just bigger than others

Seeking and finding hotel quality is a tricky juggling act for ardent travellers. One often overpays and is disappointed. Atmosphere may be pretentious, catering to a misplaced "5 Star" image and can be unwelcoming.
This hotel is no bargain but certainly strikes a fine balance where deliverables are concerned.
An ideally situated boutique ( 12 rooms) hotel it offers spacious public areas while conserving intimacy. Rooms are large, tastefully decorated in style and colour providing quality linen, toiletry and a complementary bar.
Service is exemplary, timely , attentive and never haughty.
We would certainly welcome the chance to be pampered here again.

Room Tip: We opted for the prestige double on the 2nd floor garden corner. Clear view no noise. Difficult to...

Before leaving for Europe I recall seeing a review of the Spalletti that said it was would be worth going back to Rome just to stay at this hotel. I thought it was hyperbole, but still a nice thing to say. Well, my wife and I are thinking of returning to Rome for exactly that reason. We would stay another 4-5 days. What a place!! It's an old world villa, but beautifully updated and decorated, with all the modern conveniences. Public and private spaces are all you could ask for. The staff is wonderful, and the sophisticated breakfast is all you can eat. Did I mention that in the evenings it's all you can drink? The self-serve bar in the large "living room" is open at 5pm and the selection is, how shall I say, ample. My wife and I invited our daughter and a friend, who were staying at another hotel, for evening drinks before going to dinner on two occasions. No problem. The fitness room and spa... also special. Location is central: an easy walk north to the Spanish steps or South to the ancient ruins. And just to make sure my message is understood, let me say that Villa Spalletti Trivelli is worth the price.
