This is not really a hotel, but pretends to be one. We reserved a triple room but got a double room with an uncomfortable portable bed added. The room is too small and noisy. The bathroom is tiny. The sinks don't drain. Some fixtures have no light bulbs. There is no lobby to speak of. The breakfast room is tiny with plastic tables and chairs. The staff is nice but they can't do much. The only positive attribute of this hotel is its location. It's a ripoff for its price even in Rome.

Perfect location - but not easy to find. Nice little hotel close to the main sights (nearby Castel S. Angelo, Vatican City also in walking distance).
Rooms are comfortable and clean. Staff very helpful and kind.

We loved our stay at Roma dei Papi. The entire staff was extremely helpful with city directions, information regarding sites that were a must see, transportation to the airport, restaurants to visit ( although there are many on the main streets we wanted an unusual place to go), etc. They were a very friendly staff that made you feel most welcome. The hotel was located within a very nice, secure building......it is very clean and up to date in style.... towels and soap were changed every day. The location of the hotel was a very safe area giving us no concerns regarding safety especially at night. It is within walking distance to many main attractions and only minutes from the Vatican. Breakfast, including coffee, was enough to get us started every morning. We were very pleased with our stay and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Rome.

My husband and I loved everything about this hotel. The staff was extremely helpful and courteous from even before we arrived. Very helpful through email with setting up "limo" service upon our arrival in the Rome airport. They were also very helpful with suggestions for sights and restaurants.
The room was a tad small but we felt it served its purpose as we were out of the room 90% of the time anyway. Small but very clean and sleek room and bathroom. Bed was a little hard but again, served its purpose after a looonng day of walking and sightseeing.
Great location to all nearby important sights - I'd say in about 5 minutes we were at the Vatican and surrounding area. Located in beautiful building but if we didn't have a limo driver there to actually show us where Roma dei Papi was - we'd probably never have found it! It is hidden within a building. No big deal to us...just something I figured would be important if you were to drive or find it on your own!
Breakfast was small, but expected in Italy. Excellent coffee and ate Nutella every day :) You will not be disappointed by your stay here!
