We had a considerable amount of money stolen from our locked safe while we were on tour. Obviously an 'inside' job as they only took some not all of the money. Probably figured no one counts their money ~ we did so we knew. Management attempted to prevent us from filing a police report. Glad we took the time out of our trip to report it to the police.

I have just returned from the trip to Italy and our group spent 4 nights at Eurostars Congress. Even though the hotel is OK (nice rooms and decent food) I would not recommend to stay there. Someone from the staff broke into the safe and stole a lot of money from us. I can see that we are not the first ones that have been robbed there - BE AWARE AND AVOID THIS HOTEL!!!!!!

I would think twice before staying at this hotel.....
My group tour of 54 people, a Christian Pilgramage from CT. USA, HAD MONEY STOLEN from our PREIST from a LOCKED SAFE in the hotel !!!!

The hotel, Eurostar Roma Congress....

Management tried to deter us from reporting it to the police, and after requesting, or demanding a copy of the "room activity" based upon entry/exit registered from key cards, claimed they were unable to determine who had entered the room although card number "19" which was assigned to a staff member was on the log sheet.... tHEY STOLE CLOSE TO A THOUSAND DOLLARS !!!! Due to the lack of concern of the Hotel, reluctance and actual trying to deter us from reporting it, I can only think the Management and Hotel security are in on this together.... Please think twice about staying here...
Along with the above mentioned...I found the staff for the dining room under staffed. They served the same side vegetables and deserts the exact same every night for 4 days to us...

Couple of times we left outiside the door the "do not disturb sign" and each time room service entered the room, without our authorisation

Before leaving we found out that 100 €uros was missing from the safe and apparently couple of people from the hotel knew the combination.

We reported the fraud to the police and gave a copy to the hotel which told us they would be back after the insurance answered.
As per today (October 2009 ) and after 6 months of total silence none from the hotel replies either to our phone calls (the receptionist calls a non exhistent director) neither to our e-mails.
Watch out, especially if you are foreigners, those are the people the insiders are looking for!!!
NEVER ANYMORE!!!
