I stay here regularly as we have an office nearby which I visit frequently. This hotel is fine in that context. It's 10 minutes to the office rather than 40 if I stay in the town centre, and the room costs less than a third of what you'd pay centrally.

On the plus side the restaurant is quite good for dinner, and internet access is paid for by usage so much more economical than when you pay for say 24 or 48 hours.

On the downside, the rooms are a bit tatty, though fairly large, and breakfast is pretty dire. The main thing i would point out is that the lower price reflects the location. The hotel is a good 40 minutes from the centre, even without too much traffic, and there is nothing in the vicinity. It really isn't the kind of area where you would want to go out for a stroll, and you have no sense of being in Rome at all.

The main clientele of the hotel seems to be coach parties who will have transfers arranged to the sights and presumably get a good deal from not staying in the centre. That makes a lot of sense as on the whole its fine, however I would strongly recommned independent leisure travellers to book somewhere more central.

This hotel is not near Rome, it is about an hour away from the center. So, it is not good for tourists. However, the hotel does offer a shuttle bus to and from the main train station within Rome (Roma Termini), it does cost about 10.00 I believe however, each time you ride the bus to and from downtown. You can however ride the city buses and subway and reach the hotel for about $3.00 each way if you know how to naviagate Rome and the Italian way of public transportation (would not recommend this for non-experienced Italian travelers or those who do not know the language of Italian). The subways are VERY crowded in Rome however, if you know where you are going and are street smart you should have no troubles. Also, do not be dumb and make sure you keep your money/ valuables safe with you. Anyways, the hotel has very little service staff for the restaurant. The price is good but remember how much you have to spend to get to and from Rome on a daily basis, breakfast is also NOT included in the price of the hotel room unless noted. The hotel is not "kept up" very well and is confusing to get around in. The restuarant attached to the hotel is super exspensive and the food did not look that appealing. You are better off going to the nearby Carrefour (name of supermarket chain) down the street to get food and drinks for a 1/4 the cost. Bottom line: don't stay here unless you HAVE TO, there are better hotels out there for the price.

After deciding on going to Rome to see in the new year me and my partner booked a 4 day break on last minute .com. We booked a 'top secret hotel' break with them, although we knew we wouldnt know the actual hotel until booking we were assured it was 4star and of very good quality in whats known as the 'business district' of rome with good connections to and from the city. Seeing as this was the case and we were still paying a fair bit for it we went ahead and set off the next day. On arriving at flumicino airport we asked tourist information on how to go about getting a taxi as it was late. We were told a taxi would be in excess of 75euros!! so we took the train instead to Tiburtini which took 45 mins, then the metro to ponte mammalo anf then a bus to via prenestina where the hotel is located. All in all it took about an hour and a half to reach a road scattered with milatary bases and car dealerships in the middle of which seemed like nowhere. The staff were surly and rather unhelpful and just handed us our keycard to our room. The room its self was spacious, though ive seen nicer premier/travel inns to be fair and the bathroom, though clean and modern only had a shower, which disapointed as all i wanted was a nice hot soak after the journey. We were told the hotel had cable and pay TV ...there were no english channels at all ( no BBC prime or anything ) which i wouldnt have minded as i dont go away to watch TV in hotels, but as we were restricted on being back by about 10 at night as the only transport would have been a hefty taxi cost, it would have been nice. Turned out there was no 'pay TV' either and then we later found out the internet in the room didnt work. After complaining about the internet twice and a technician coming up to fix it with no success, we were simply refunded and told that was that ( deal with it basically ) The staff couldnt have given a monkeys and seemed quite put out when we asked anything of them. After seeing the cost of the restaurant in the hotel we asked where the nearest bar/pizzeria was. We ended walking 15mins up some busy road with no pavements and constant traffic, with what looked like prostitutes hanging about to get to. There was a major supermarket 'carrefour' 15 mins in the other direction which we ended up buying food and wine from and simply emptied the mini bar to keep our goods chilled as the food at the hotel is overpriced and when ordering room service it turns up cold. Getting to Rome every day was a chore taking just over an hour though the transport in Rome is fantastically cheap. Im glad i went to Rome as the city is stunning but i was so saddened that this part of my romantic getaway was spoilt. I wouldnt recommend this sedate unfriendly hotel to anyone....and if you want to be within reach of anywhere forget it....the views from the hotel are horrid and the location is just completely dire. Definately one of the worst hotels ive stayed in...and to call itself 4star is a joke.

The service here sucks!! There was 4 people working at the front but they could only serve one at a time. The other 3 ppl would just ignore you. The breakfast was 12 euro if you didn't pay for it ahead of time on the internet.... The eggs were horrible and the rest was just dry bread and buns etc. The only good thing on there was the bacon, but 12 bucks for a plate of bacon is too much. The heat wasn't on in the hotel when we got there so the first night I had to sleep fully clothed with a hoody on to stay warm. Needless to say we only stayed there until our friend arrived and got the hell out of there. It's way to far from anything cool anyways, it was super easy to find a hotel right downtown close to everything and way cheaper!

The hotel was good for our purposes. We had free car parking and a cheap means of travel into Rome each day. Stayed here September 30th, October 1st & 2nd, 2008

The hotel provides a shuttle service which leaves and returns twice a day. Very good value for money.

Our only problem with this hotel was getting there with a GPS. The GPS could not find the hotel using the hotel's address. We had to phone the hotel twice to finally reach someone who could understand our problem. We had to put in a cross street so that the GPS could find the hotel.

We complained to the hotel about this oversight. We had spent 2 hours in peak hour traffic trying to find the hotel.

Other than the GPS episode we had no complaints. It was very reasonably priced.
