The Diocleziano is a very good hotel, has very friendly and helpful staff, has an excellent location, and all this for a very attractive price. We were more than positively suprised by the very central location of this pretty new hotel (5 min walking distance to/from the train station Termini) and the silence we found there. We could open the windows of our room at night and it was quiet (yes!) . We explored Rome from here by foot. Once again, perfect. 2 minutes walking and you are at the Piazza della Repubblica. Or, within the same time, inside the basilica Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri. Nice restaurants are reachable by foot within minutes. The hotel was clean and nice. The staff was very professional and attentive. The rooms are very small. The free stocked bar was a bonus. The room rate we received was very good relative to other options. The location of the hotel is within walking distance to the train station which was great upon our return from Florence - when we checked into the hotel. Having previously explored the city, areas closer to the river are more scenic (and in my opinion, more desirable) but you can't beat the overall value for this hotel. If you want a good deal at a clean and nice hotel (near the train station), this is a great place.

The hotel staff is friendly and helpful. You feel really welcome there. Rooms are spacious and clean, equipped with all what you need. The only improvement could be done reg. TV and radio channel choice, which is quite poor for non-Italian guest.

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Diocleziano. The hotel was perfectly positioned a 5 minute walk from Termini station (and a big sign along the way points out the direction of the hotel) and the main sights are only a 20 minute walk away. The room was immaculate (the cleanest room I have ever stayed in) and the service by the hotel staff was wonderful. We were recommended a delightful family run trattoria near the hotel which served good food at a cheap price (however we noticed that everyone else also had a map of rome - so maybe all hotels recommend it?). The included breakfast was great - continental or american; and it was a valued rareity to find out that the mini bar was free each day!! Definately recommend Hotel Diocleziano.
