“Hidden no more”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 26, 2012

My husband and I stayed here for four nights. Believe all the reviewers who said this is a brilliant location. When we checked in (jetlagged from New York), we asked for a quiet room and were given a room on the 1st floor (technically 2nd floor in the U.S.). It was not exactly quiet, so we asked to be moved. The staff was accommodating and went out of their way to move us to a much preferred room on the 4th floor. Breakfast was nice. This was a great base to explore Rome. Recommended.

Room Tip: If you want peace and quiet, book a room on the higher floors.

“Brilliant location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed November 18, 2012

We recently spent 4 nights at the Inn at the Roman Forum and had a very good experience. Took the option of a half priced transfer from the airport and this turned out to be great value as some of our subsequent cab rides through Romes morning traffic cost us more. Checkin was smooth and room was good, can be a little bit noisy if your on the street side of the building. Sort the help of the reception staff on a number of occasions and generally they were helpful. Location is great, Colleseum & Forum are right there and it is within walking distance of many of Romes attractions.

Only criticism is the variety at breakfast if your staying for a few days but this is probably to be expected at what is a boutique hotel.

Make sure you check out the Roman ruins under the hotel located behind reception.

“A Hidden treasure”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 17, 2012

The hotel arranged for our pickup at the airport, and even though our flight was an hour late our driver was there to greet us. He spoke little English, but it was no problem. It is difficult to drive up to the front of this hotel, so valets will carry your bags up a slight hill. Part of the charm of this hotel is that it is nestled away so it is very quiet and private. Each room in the hotel is different and interesting. The staff was delightful, Sylvia, William, and Valentina could not have been nicer or more helpful. Be sure if you stay here to take a tour of the ruins which are part of the hotel. There is a seafood restaurant a block and a half away which is fabulous, Osteria Corte Del Grillo. I must warn you if you that the bed in our room was very low, so if you have a problem getting out of a low bed ask for a different room. I think we were in room #302. We definately recommend this hotel as it is close to all the special attractions in Rome.

Our stay at the Inn was really great. Got an upgrade to the best exec room, great breakfast, transfer to and from the airport worked really well. The location in ancient Rome is fantastic - we could walk everywhere. Great helpfull staff, we had a great stay!

Room Tip: Go for an upgrade, the other rooms are quite small

“The best hotel I have ever stayed in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed November 12, 2012

Myself and my new husband stayed in this wonderful hotel for our honeymoon and I can honestly say I can not fault it. The most fabulous asset this hotel has is the location. A stones throw from the Colosseum it is no more than a 15 minute walk away from the Trevi fountain and Spanish Steps in the heart of Rome. However as it is tucked away in the back streets we were still able to enjoy a quiet romantic meal away from the crowds.
The hotel itself is a marvel steeped full of history. The attention to detail from the staff was magnificent and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The breakfast was brilliant and you must sit on the roof garden over looking Ancient Rome whilst sipping your morning coffee or with a glass of wine in the evening that comes with a generous complimentary buffet. A special thank you goes to Sylvie who arranged our cars to and from the airport that are must.
The room was beautiful with a plush bathroom and a generous sitting area. Excellent value for money We will definitely be returning. Thank you The Inn at the Roman Forum for making our honeymoon a very special time that we will remember forever xxx
