Just spent four nights at this incredibly convenient specialty lodging. It's so close to everything, and is clean and safe.
I was able to catch the No. 40 bus from Termini on arrival from Firenze. The locals were happy to help when I asked where Piazza Navona was (it's the nearest landmark to Locanda Senatorum). Via dei Sediari is a short walk from Corso Vittorio Emanuele if you get off at the fourth stop after leaving Termini.
I was travelling solo in Rome, and could walk everywhere I wanted from Via dei Sediari. About 3 mins to Pantheon, 15-20 mins to Colosseo (if you don't stop to shop or look at massive monuments), and about 20 mins to Vatican City.
The room was kept spotless and was well presented. The staff Renata and Ravi were always helpful and courteous. I was fortunate to meet the owners Anita and Massimo as well. They made me feel very welcome.
Although the location is fabulous, be aware that there is no elevator, and about 48 stairs to the LS level. This is not a problem after getting the bags upstairs the first time, and if you like your legs to get exercised. When in Rome, do what the (ancient) Romans do...?
If you have mobility problems, then this would not suit you. Many of these really old buildings can't accommodate elevators.
The no-extra-charge wireless internet is great. They also have SKY if you're into that sort of thing, for a small charge. I was impressed by the little touches - a chocolate on the pillow, and a cocktail glass containing more for future 'comfort'. Comfy bed, great shower and bathroom. View was pokey, but no worse than many views in densely built up places like NYC.
Great coffee shops around the corner. Wonderful stay. Would stay here again.
