We have just returned from 9 days in Italy. Our stay at the Residenza was our last stop. It totally lived up to its reviews. The bathrooms were small just as the reviews said, but beautifully tiled, fresh and clean. The staff went out of their way to help us with any and all directions to restaurants and sights we wanted to see. This B&B is small and quaint with just 6 rooms on one floor. They were patient with our touristy questions and were quick to look up information for us and print out train times and schedules. We would definately recommend this B&B to everyone.

Very easy to get to from Roma Termini, just take the Metro Line A (1 ticket costs 1 Euro) towards Battistini and get off at Lepanto. It is an easy 3 minute walk from there. Very nice, non-touristy (if that is possible in Rome) area with great cafes and pizzerias. Easy walk to the Vatican and proximity to metro. I stayed in a single room, for one night only, but it was very clean and VERY quiet. Breakfast was great and they bring it to you in your room (between 8AM and 10AM, you tell them the night before what time you prefer). The rooms are on the second floor of a secure building, and there are only a few. Standouts were a flatscreen plasma TV on the wall, breakfast in the room, and huge, soft towels in the bathroom (very uncommon for Rome!). All for only 50 Euros booked on Easytobook.com. I highly recommend this place and will be back!

This is a very small B&B and one that is a bit dated. There's no kitchen or common areas and a musty smell remains in the hallway and in the room. The room was very clean (esp) the bathroom, but wasn't a room that you could really get comfortable in. The location will require that you take the train to most of the sights (except for the Vatican) which wasn't a problem, but it might be worth the extra money to stay in a place that is more centrally located (e.g., near the Spanish steps). The staff was ok, but it was an everchanging case of people and sometimes no one was around when we needed assistance. I would recommend it only if you are on a budget which we were.

We totally loved our stay at the Residenza Vaticana in March 2007. Booking was through Romeby.com, and although it was a bit pricey for our personal budget ($120), I was extremely satisfied. Upon our arrival, we learned the owner/manager had generously upgraded our accommodations, transferring us to their newly opened rooms just a few blocks away. The rooms are on the 3rd floor of a very well maintained and secure building. The entire floor occupied by the inn was very plush and well decorated. Everything is new and amenities are modern. Customer service (i.e. reception, information desk, house keeping, breakfast service, etc.) was great, the staff was always eager to please. Location was very convenient to local shops, the Vatican area and railway system. The inn is situated in a calm neighborhood of shops and buildings, less busy compared to West of the Tevere. During our stay we had to pay cash because the manager was still arranging credit card services, as this truly was a newly opened facility. I would highly recommend this inn for its location, comfort, luxurious amenities (-using European standards) and kind management & working staff..

This was a perfect location for us. The B&B is in a condo building so it feels private. No big signs of hotel or anything. It is in a residential area.
the service was fine, except the reception guy gave us the wrong info on the vatican museum, causing us to miss our visit on the free day. We had breakfast in our rooms everyday (part of the deal) and that was great. we also loved the italian music channel on tv. the room was wonderful and designed to make the most efficient use of its space.
One tip, do not eat at nearby Piazza Cavour. all the bars/restaurants in that area have bad service, very expensive for the low quality food, hidden cover charges, beverage prices not listed (and ridiculously expensive). we stayed in this area for 5 days and experienced (or witnessed) the same problems at 8 different places there.
