Stayed here with a group of friends in our late 20s. I was in a triple room - kind of small, but 2 large windows and comfortable enough. The bathroom was very small, but clean. We booked at Dolomiti, but our rooms were in Hotel Lacheas (or something like that) - apparently it is owned by the same people. Some of my friends were in Hotel Dolomiti, so I saw their rooms, and our front desk and breakfast was in Hotel Dolomiti.

Breakfast was ok - there was a woman who made me coffee, but only on the last day of my 3 night stay. Not a huge selection.

Hotel is close to the Termini Train Station within easy walking distance. Staff was very friendly and spoke English well. I had emailed the hotel prior to our visit to arrange for us to drop off our luggage so we go sightseeing (we arrived in Rome at 9:00 am). They said it was no problem and they had a secure area to store it. It turned out our room was ready and we just put our luggage there. We told the checkin person that we where leaving early and he asked if we would like a sack breakfast to take with us. It was in our fridge when we got back that evening (Juice, roll, croissant and jam; a good sack breakfast ).

Hotel is small, it shares the building with one or two other hotels. The room is small but clean and comfortable. Room is quiet. Not a luxury hotel obviously, but I found it to be a good value for the price.

The hotel was well located - close to the Termini (walking distance).

We walked from the termini after catching a bus from the airport. We were able to check-in early, which was good. The hotel is located within a building with a couple of other hotels, but easy to find.

Our room was located one the 3rd or 4th level on the road side, but the double glazing was perfect and we barely heard any noise - so we're not sure as to why the other reviews complained of this.

The bathroom wasn't the greatest but it was clean enough for what we needed it for.

We ate the included breakfast a couple of mornings, which consisted of crossaints, cereal, coffee (made from a commercial coffee machine), juice and fruit. The hotel owners seemed a bit offended one of the mornings when we wanted to get an early start on the Vatican and didn't have breakfast there.

Like many hotels in Europe we had to leave our key with reception but this was never a problem.

There is an internet cafe across the road, which we regularly used, as well as a convenience supermarket across the road. We also regularly ate at some of the nearby restaurants.

All in all, the hotel was well located with lots of facilities nearby and was clean. The staff were always friendly.

It’s been a while, since we stay – 4 nights over New Year’s. We booked last minute and thought that we had found a bargain. The hotel is indeed fairly affordable and conveniently located to the central station – albeit not in a particularly salubrious part of town.
Our room faced the road and was rather noisy, with round-the-clock traffic along the main throughfare just outside. Walls were also so thin that you could literally hear the guests on the other breath and sneeze and …
The biggest problem was heating – or lack thereof. The rooms were always freezing cold, heating off – although management insisted otherwise. Fortunately, we did not spend much time in the room other than to sleep and wash, but boy, it was cold!
On the upside: rooms were perfectly clean and the bed very comfortable.

The breakfast buffet was the usual sad Italian affair, but we’ve had worse.

In light of the price and the convenient location, overall not too bad., but the heating issue was a real problem.

Wow! Just got back froma wonerful long weekend In Rome. I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights and was pleasantly surprised. I spent a long time researching hotles in Rome, and found this at a great price. I shared the quad room with family, and it worked really well. Very, very clean and well proprtioned. The only possible problem with the room was that they do not have kettles, but hey,..it just made sure we had to suck up all that Italian coffee at the local cafes!! (great excuse!!)
The staff were extremely helpful and honest. We asked lots of questions and they were never too busy to talk.
The breakfast was basic, yogurt, cereal, pastries and rolls. But all were delicious, and for the price paid you cannot grumble. It mentions in the info that if you are leaving early in the morning you can ask for a breakfast pack-up. I forgot to ask, but on the morning, at half six casually asked if there was anything we could grab. The man on the desk was wonderful and allowed me to grab pastries and was only too pleased to offer me anything else he had at that time.
The hotel is in a good location, useful for the metro and a great little shop opposite.
I will defintely use this hotel when I return to Rome, which I will undoubtedly do!

  • Liked — Good staff, great location
  • Disliked — Lift a bit scary, and noisy outside when window wide open.
