Just came back from a 5 days visit to Rome. Me and my wife we loved the Domus Romana.( Via delle Quatro Fontane).
I can highly recommend this hotel to fellow travelers when visiting the eternal city. The Domus is a small hotel, means quiet, located in the city center, in walking distance from Trevi, Pantheon and even from the Colloseum, The staff is very friendly,, especially the girls at reception who gave very good tourist information about transport to sites outside historical center.
Rooms...I think there was not one room the same as the other!
our first one was quite small but, after asking, changed in a larger one, and...courtyard view. Good bed (!) bathroom complete, mini bar (fridge). Quiet at nigth. Room was in perfect condition and cleaning was also good. Breakfast was good, nothing hot but plenty other stuff, here also very quiet and peaceful.
Supermarket "De Spar" arround the corner in Via Nazionale (very good to buy drinks and food). Beware for restaurants in the quarter of Trevi and Pantheon, A BIG CHEAT !!! Check was never correct, they cut my chickenbrest in two peaces and said a had two ??!! This was the same in every establisment in this neighbourhood ! If you see no pricelist (and even then...) don't go there ! Reception recommended restaurant "Gioia Mia" Via degli Avignonesi 34, 500 m NNW from hotel, good food and no surprises with the bill. There's not much I can add to the other great reviews here. I highly recommend this charming hotel! We had a large suite four our family of 4 (2 teens) and enjoyed the convenient location as well as internet access in the lobby (5 euro / hr.). The staff was quite accommodating and kind. I recommend the restaurants nearby on via Nazionalle, as well as a long evening stroll over to Maccaroni Restaraunt. Excellent!

I can't say enough to describe the amazing experience I had staying at this hotel. Upon arrival, my husband and I were extremely tired from our 12 hour flight, starving and desperately in need of a shower. We arrived at the hotel, and the staff was extremely welcoming. Our room needed a little tlc, but was clean, comfortable and they provided a tv with satilite reception, so we were able to watch all of our favorite shows from home. The hotel is very quiet at night, and the breakfast buffet was quite desireable. We ate there every morning of our 5 night stay. It is very close to the Spanish steps, and other attractions. All in all, my experience with this hotel was great. It is not the Hyatt or Westin, but definitely a comfortable, affordable option.

The hotel is conveniently located just off the Via Nazionale and is within walking distance of many of the major tourist attractions such as the Fontane de Trevi, The Spanish steps as well as being near the 64 bus route that takes you to St Peters. The main bus/train station is no more than 6 miutes walk away. The staff were friendly and very helpful, providing us with information about how to use the public transport system and where to eat in the evenings. The hotel is currently being refurbished but this did not cause us any inconvenience. Our first room was facing the street and when we mentioned that it was a little noisy due to the road being relaid, we were offered an alternative room immediately and given assistance to move rooms. The rooms are cleaned to a high standard, the beds confortable and the linen fresh. It helped that we had a travel kettle with us as we could make our own hot drinks as and when we liked. The breakfast was good, the dining room small but clean with space to sit outside in good weather, There is a small Spa supermarket just around the corner that is handy for bottled water, fruit etc.
